I seem to recall a similar thing happened with a piece of gaming hardware they put out and it end up costing them a lot of money.

  4. Recycling on Star Trek XI - What We Know · · Score: 1

Im glad to see that Star Trek is leading the way be recycling old ideas as much as possible, new ideas cost a lot of coffee and drawings, sets, aliens etc. SAVE THE WORLD, USE PREQUELS!!! They are trying to just "recreate" the glory days of tng or the original, rather than invent something really new, Havent they tried that already. Wasnt thier some show with the chinese babe? Prequels SUCK, you know nothing major is going to happen because you already know the end of the story, Try reading he last chapter of a book first, ITS A FLAWED IDEA! And dont get me start on bringing in the guy from lost, I mean nothing actually happens in lost, thats the opposite of what a new star trek needs, and please no more every ship needs an alien/robot deal, rewrite the dynamic; break the rules etc. It needs to lead and not follow! Bring some new ideas to the table guys and you shall have a new TNG

DVD is already to easy to damage, i have a few dvd`s that wont play thorough, even though thier is no visable damage on the disk itself. Im not going to buy anymore dvd or new format unless the disks can last more than a few plays. These new disks will probably be damged by merely opening the case and dust particles hitting the disk as you move it around, heaven forbid an accidental drop onto the floor

  10. Re:don't look a gift-horse in the mouth on Firefox-Based Netscape 8 Beta Goes Live · · Score: 1

Netscape 4.7 was nice, its a real pity they cant throw that kind of thing together again, real nice history window, but with the new rendering of firefox and some nice css functionality. Netscape 8 looks like a clown designed the UI in his own image "NETSCAPE THE SENILE NUTTER" I think was his name.

  11. Re:If they fail... on TrekUnited Reports Mission Successful at Trek Rallies · · Score: 1

The star trek people could easily afford to make another series if they wanted, but they wont take the risk. Its the same with futurama, they could easily make another series if they really wanted, but dont. I really dont get it, would dvd sales alone cover the costs?

Enterprise was a complete POS in my opinion, But maybe if the studio isnt gambling thier own money they might take a shot. Maybe this could spark some kind of revolt of bypassing those idiot us studio that kill all the good shows and let shit like "alias" run.
