Apple's notebooks are currently in 5th place, behind HP, Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, and Gateway. Apple's notebooks constantly lag behind in feature set and performance.

You obviously lack reading comprehension. TFA was not talking about current Apple laptops - it was talking about the first Apple laptops. You know, the ones which defined the form-factor of modern laptops? That's why it mentions all previous laptops.

Remember before Apple's first Powerbooks came along? They had crap like trackballs which would hang off the side of the laptop and be stored separately - or no pointer input device at all. Apple put the trackball in front of the keyboard, and used the area to the side as wrist rests. How many laptops today do you see that don't have that configuration (albeit with a trackpad instead of a trackball)? Yet, before Apple's laptops, nobody had that configuration. Quite similar to how Apple changed the whole computing paradigm with the introduction of the first mainstream mouse and GUI system. Today, Linux, Windows, etc - are all more or less based on the original MacOS. And the mouses we use today are based on Apple's approach to the mouse.

Tell me, why is it "over the line" to use a public access point in public? If they did not want it to be used, then they could have denied access.

See, you just proved my point. Just because it isn't scarce, doesn't mean it isn't valuable. Economic value isn't the only type of value. The post I was responding to did not specify "monetary value." It's people only thinking in this way that is larging screwing the world up. The best things in life are free, as the cliche goes.

There's not even a requirement for it to be useful - some things are valuable to people just for aesthetic reasons, not practical reasons.

What about the same standards for those who pushed to go to war? They never spoke of the consequences. It was supposed to be an easy war, where we would be greeted with flowers as liberators. Even after the war, we were supposed to believe that Iraq is a happy, burgeoning democracy.

Most cops will take any opportunity available to inflict violence on a suspect. Most are willing to lie or exaggerate events in order to incarcerate someone they dopn't like.

Those who join the force as decent human beings usually leave, or the job drives them crooked. Honest people don't last very long as cops.

I imagine your perception of them is shaped by the role you were playing - they treated you differently because cooperating with you was part of their job. So, word about a popular video is spread rapidly among soldiers. The proxy could download the video once, and then be played back thousands of times to soldiers without using any more bandwidth.
