Reasonable? Apparently you already have made up your mind that it will be an '[...] inflamatory, hatefull [sic] movie', whereas you even state no one has seen it yet. So it is a bit hypocritical to say such a thing. And the fact that you are afraid that 'some crazy muslim [will] kill him' already points out a problem with said group when it comes to accepting critique. That was just the punch-line to a very well written paragraph, stop knee-jerking.
Is there an organization with the size and power of the NRA dedicated to defending the first amendment? I would hope: the armed forces. Otherwise you should start setting up those armed militia thingies.
Yeah, that's like: When you leave your car unlocked and someone else starts exercising in there. Or: Someone breaking into a library by walking through the automatically sliding doors during opening hours.

Am I right on thinking this is the first viable, potentially wide-spread use of a Sterling Engine?! No, read the article on wikipedia. Stirling engines are very popular when used as a cryocooler.
Indeed. When comparing materials based on the maximum tensile stress (pulling), knowing the thickness is about as useful as knowing what the tester had for breakfast. Stress is defined as {force}/{cross-sectional area}.
Btw having read the article, I can definitely say that, in a company of engineers the interviewer has managed to find the one person fluent in marketing-speak.
They're certainly not an endangered species. So I would guess you _can_ shoot them. Inquire with your local LUG about the start and end dates of hunting season.
From the GP's link:
The Earth-Moon L2 point has been proposed as a location for a communication satellite covering the far side of the Moon Now, why do you think all those observing satellites are planned at SEL2 and there are only plans for a com-sat at EML2?
(Please, show me how fish can grow lungs to breath only air, without compromising their current breathing system) Slashdot doesn't allow the posting of pictures, so this will have to do.
Did you really just reply: "There are no differing opinions, mine is the correct one."?
Remember the wealth of knowledge and insight that is "The Matrix": atmosphere is not a definition, it is a word used to describe a physical phenomenon.
We could use the distance at which the density of the atmosphere matches the density of the interplanetary medium or the maximum height of airplane engines, or the Van Allen belt where we define the everything inside as "atmosphere" and everything outside as solar wind / interplanetary medium. Even for everything lower then LEO there are varying definitions.
The only use for the word is as a shortcut for some particular phenomenon in which you are interested at the time.
I think you can compare it to the height of the atmosphere. While the "size" is debatable based on differing definitions, the important thing is knowing what the state of the medium is at various altitudes.
Eight people seems like a nice crew size.

I'm very sorry, but if adverts on your site are animated. I'll block them or stop visiting you.
If that happens Canada might be a bit busy with the Dutch immigrants showing up on it's borders.

How many amendments does your constitution have again?

What a great idea and so original too. I'll help by thinking of a snazy name for the satellite .... got it. How about James Webb Space Telescope?
I had a number of 1.2 trillion, can't remember where I got it from.

1 light-year = 4 * (cost of war in Iraq so far) * (mile/$)
;)
I hope that brings it into perspective for you

Quick, e-mail them! They'll have to retract their article.
