We are far past the point where the average consumer cares very much about capacity. What do you think they are going to do with 2 terabytes? You have no idea!
I'd heard that one, but I've also heard the same story about Brits. Apparently, they'll queue up just for the hell of it. Nowhere beats Hong Kong in this, people will (and have to) queue up here for everything
Restaurants? queue up Take a piss? queue up (no kidding!) Buying stocks? queue up (thousands of people queued up 2-days-and-nights just to buy shares of tom.com, and lost 90% of it right after)
queuing is expected down here, there are just too many people within too little space.
Is this a belated April fools joke?
keep going, it seems working.. now down to 22.
well cost/capacity goes hang in hand, one drives the other in the opposite direction, as in supply & demand.
Ideally, one sould be able to plug in these SSDs, just same as a RAM module.. perhaps a redesign of motherboards are needed.
.. can we really call it a success until Firefox got a relatively safe market share of at least, lets say 40-60%?
or until there are no sites left that demands: 'sorry this site requires M$IE only'?

I want one of these OSX on a white box PC, does anyone know if this is available in Hong Kong?
I agree w/u, good for Apple.
"Upgrade-happy geeks are a tiny sliver of the overall market."
Geeks are tiny in numbers buy influential.
Most people knows a geeky type, and will ask of his opinion before purchasing a computer.
> cooperatively?
damn you Firefox spellchecker.
Oh stop that..
GUI of Linux, KDE/Gnome just sucks, and response time to user mouse clicks are slow in general.
However, fonts are getting much better, the latest Fedora 9, and Ubuntu 804 clear and sharp.
but still slow on my fairly new (2GB ram, 512MB Nvidia) box. I'm not sure why response is still slow cooperatively. is it X? I'm not sure.
Why is this funny?
Good point, not to mention, TV.com, Radio.com, Search.com.. more?
Thou it helps but, one surely don't need a bunch of those to RE the thing..
I Agree w/u completely. Nothing to loose, no time wasted, why not try? ~ good selling point for anything.
Hello I'm Mac, I'm feeling left out, lonely.. :(
you have gotta be an newborn Ubuntu baby, welcome...
links on that page seem to not work;

I bet fscking was done faster in older days, have you seen our forked ancestors fscking on tree branches in African jungles?
Dell and HP wouldn't have the slightest of interest selling Mac, could they risk having a slap on their face from Redmond?
because selling software is more profitable IF it goes mainstream, like the Windows.
this is _probably_ good for Apple.
Apple needs to turn a blind eye to this if it has any serious intentions of reaching to much more users.
I wouldn't be surprised if Psystar had Apple's blessing behind the curtain on this..
It would be perfect for Apple if this caches up, yet safe way out if not.
I've got a live CD of this from RedHat, here it seemed well polished and includes mail, calendaring, Symphony and more..
