They are pushing the rest of society hard enough now that talk of violence is becoming more common and I think that something will touch it off at some point.

The most likely reaction of the rich to one of their own being kneecapped would be to hire body guards and greatly restrict their freedom in public- they'd probably with draw to well protected areas, private clubs, gated communities, well secured openings for museum nights. Many of these things have already happened. In my town, there's one night for the wealthy people at the museum, then after that everyone else goes.

Another reaction might be to avoid doing certain things like the BSA and ACTA do- but I think it's unlikely. More likely is they would hire some fall guy to perform the risky jobs and hide their identities as owners so you had no one to lash out at.

The democrats have a problem too but the republicans own most of this party. Bush and Greenspan created a huge overhanging debt load on the economy by holding interest rates at 1% and pulling forward the next decade's jobs and spending into the 2000 to 2008 period.

Obama is well and truly screwed. It's going to be 2016 before we get out of this. However- I'm almost debt free and many of my friends are headed in that direction. Unless I lose my job- I'll be spending again soon-- if there are things I want to spend it on.

I'm making the investment into solar without government subsidies because it makes sense.

My current electric bill is $900 a year (apparently low by many standards but I have studly insulation.)

My goal is to reduce that by $500 per year at current prices.

    Two key things.
My effective tax bracket is 50%.
So every dollar saved is worth two dollars earned. If I can save $500, I would have to earn $1000 to have that after tax spending cash.

Secondly- historical pricing inflation for electricity since 1983 is between 100 and 150%. It's reasonable to assume that by 2022, my actual savings will be $1000 per year. And that's assuming no period of high inflation.

So if I can put up a $10,000 system which saves me $500 per year, the effective payoff of the system is under 10 years.

Plus I won't be completely without power like I was after the last hurricane for 3 weeks.

Cap has always been the moral "Superman" of the Marvel universe. Always lawful good- never amoral- never compromising. Partially the writers gave him a break and never put him in "no win" situations- but they put him in close to no win situations and he was good.

The flag pole scene was also classic cap. He has the cleverness required of a weaker man combined with the power.

The movie was over CGI'd and slow during the montage of beating the 6 bases but I guess they had to show it somehow. I also felt some motorcycle jumps and so on were cut instead of showing the entire thing.
