"Photosynthesis efficiency varies from 0.1% to 8%."
Only in sunlight driven systems, just FYI, following the stated source. In targeted wavelength systems, this is absolutely nowhere near the case.
In LED driven systems, photosynthetic efficiency jumps double to nearly quadruple that, tested over and over again in multiple of my systems. We can push it as far as nearly 50% efficiency before we hit maximum saturation if we pulse the light instead of a solid steady output.
See, what mainly limits efficiency is the rate at which chlorophyll degrades and regenerates. When it processes energy, it rips itself apart and gets rebuilt. This is how light bleaching happens, too much light, too much photosynthesis, the plant can't regenerate chlorophyll as fast as it's producing energy, and it 'burns' out.
Stop relying upon wikipedia. It's so outdated as of now for my field of research that they might as well delete the entire section from their site.
"However, if real, it could be a Big Deal - now you have another molecule, aside from the chlorophyll complex that can take photons and use them in cellular reactions."
No, not really, as we are quite aware of many other complimentary pigments and structures that compliment the photosynthetic system. Erythromycin, phycocyanin, etc. A bigger discovery was our recent discovery of an IR photosynthesizing chloroplast, which we thought impossible previously due to the low energy/voltage potential of IR light.
Since we observed the actual quantum interactions of light with chlorophyll and understood that to be the required output.
The same observation led to my building a fodder production system that requires no light but instead uses highly-tuned electrical pulses to achieve the same effect at MUCH higher efficiencies.
I smash my own servers when things go wrong as-is. Please, it's like Office Space in here. Something even REMOTELY hiccups, we take it out back and give it the golf club and aluminum bat treatment, and go build a new one. Since everything is immediately printed out on paper once received, we have every backup we need. What loss? You're not getting tears from me, pal.
"You obviously haven't run one for very long if you're not used to cash swings"
I'm used to cash swings on the order of a couple thousand dollars every single day. I am NOT used to having NO MEANS OF ACCEPTING PAYMENT where 99% of my payments are made, which makes that fluctuation go from a regular thing to a deadly drop resulting in practically ZERO BUSINESS.
4chan is used for coordination along with other channels. The person running 4chan knows this and does nothing to actively put a stop to it, despite the destructive nature of the current 'demonstration.' He's involved, and he should suffer a loss, one way or another. Taking his little toy offline is at the LOW END of what I consider a fair punishment.
That was using my right pinky to shift and typing the rest of the word normally, no contortion at all, barely a shift of my wrist. Are you using DVORAK or something instead of QWERTY?
And that was without looking. What sort of 'proper' typing class did you take, again?
NATO
That was done with the left shift key/left pinky. A little off because I have to shift my ring finger to get the A instead of using my pinky, but still nothing else changed.
You might want to TRY what you speak of before speaking of it.
For heat dissipation, just make the entire outside of the module the heat sink. It's what I do for ultra-power LED diodes, and lemme tell you, those get WAY hotter than any RAM chip could dream of, plus pull more power (some of these diodes are 100w a piece.) Drop a fan on it for when you overclock, just like normal. No big change in anything, really.
Microfluidics got mentioned, but really that's pointless without a huge phase change section, and that addition renders my idea of 3D RAM useless, plus fluid+heat = pressure. I don't like the idea of my RAM venting steam of some sort.
I wish I could mod you down because your logic circuits are burned the fuck out.
A simple grep through all 50 states and Federal law shows that NO SUCH LAW EXISTS with regards to organizations, ONLY THE PEOPLE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LEAK.
Goddamn. No wonder we're losing our rights so rapidly, even those supposedly older and smarter than I are fucking stupid.
This entire post is so full of shit that I'm at a loss as to where to begin.
I could either rely upon my experience as a systems installer for major grocery stores, or my own experience running my own business (which is currently being hurt by these attacks.)
Either way, you have ZERO clue with regards to what you are saying. Just close your mouth.
Will this perhaps give us a chance at having cubical memory stacks to plug into our motherboards like tiny processors? I could really enjoy 2GB RAM in a little 3/8"x3/8"x3/4" stack. Key it right and save costs on PCB. Might be able to be cooled just as easily.
"Economy of scale dictates that 2.4 and 5.8GHz kit is cheaper than UHF."
Yep, and also they have shorter ranges, thus requiring more transmission power than UHF to go further.
"TV aerials aren't particularly high quality, and neither is the coax. You'd have to replace both before they were suitable for data."
We do have these things called Radio Modems. Sure you can only get ISDN speed but you didn't have to replace a damned thing, you just plugged the modem into the antenna. I used to use one way back in the early 90s.
I'm pondering whether or not to use my other account mod points to mod you funny, or just sit right here and bitch you out for being such an ignorant piece of shit musically (and I speak as a recording and performing artist.)
I think I'll just let/. sort it out. I'm too busy figuring out how to keep your ass fed to worry about this, given Monsanto just won something that pretty much guarantees our eternal slavery because the majority of you won't stand up and kill those fuckers, thus leaving those of us with brains to do the hard work to keep you alive.
Enjoy bitching about irrelevant things while I struggle to keep you and your future generations alive.
I haven't read the full complaint against you. Are all required six elements clearly defined in the DMCA takedown notice against you (for example, they MUST make specific mention of what is being infringed, how it is being infringed, and the location of the infringement must be stated?) If not, then the DMCA notice is improper and Google followed through without proper cause as required by the DMCA.
Photosynthetic efficiency deals with biological systems, such as plants, and now possibly this species of hornet.
What you are thinking of is photovoltaic efficiency.
GP is talking about photosynthesis, which is what I responded to.
Those are called plants, well most of them.

Those modding this person offtopic are obviously still in high school or middle school.
Quit focusing on one subject and broaden your horizons, please. Maybe you'd catch the reference, then.
Pardon me while I go drive my Mercer.
On a single PS2 port I have keyboard, mouse, and an X-Arcade dual tankstick.
NO DRIVERS REQUIRED.
Let's see USB do that.
Oops, it can't. USB needs drivers, both for the device and the controller hub.

I have tons of competition. Their bullshit marketing is winning over facts and hard science as-is.
I should also mention my hands are large enough to handle an 8-string bass guitar, and I typed that on a laptop keyboard.
NATO.

Ahem, PROPER typing skills eliminate the need for a Caps Lock key.
That is why your shift keys are located next to your pinky fingers.
Not surprising you work in the defense industry.

Any possibility of a mock trial has a much higher chance of being bombed out by some very unhappy anon.
In fact, a mock trial would likely result in a massive uprising, possibly another armed civil war.
We're overdue for another one. This would be the perfect match to the powderkeg.

Run a business and you'd be shitting your pants right now.
Quit relying upon meters, they're useless if they're not tuned to the task.
"Are they "disrupting business"? Perhaps, but no worse than the lunch counter sit-ins did."
You very obviously don't run an online business.
I'm currently unable to accept ANY payments except Paypal, and pretty soon it looks like those are about to stop going through as well.
Considering I make about 5 grand a day on a good day, this is going to really hurt me.
For once, I'm just thinking about heading to 4chan's servers, and risking the jail time smashing every fucking machine there is right now.
I'm not THAT far from the database, either. Moot screwed up using his iPhone to post, I've got the GPS coordinates. It's only 65 miles away in LA.
I am hoping Google will send me one. Given the fact that 99% of my business is web-based, I want to see just what they've got to offer.
If it's good for my business, you can almost guarantee I'll be making a quick run to my investors and telling them to get one for themselves.
That wold have to be one bloody high jump to get near the emitter.

Real demos led to actual game purchases. That is how shareware worked back int he 90s.
Now? Demos lead to consistent monthly rip-offs of money.
And people wonder why the industry is said to be dying?
