"Isn't this the same Sony whose PS2 "Emotion engine" was supposed to have been delivering cinematic graphics, according to their marketdroids?"
And it most certainly did if you bothered to play anything beyond the garbage-port FPS games brought to the PS2.
Want me to start rolling through the 300+ PS2 games I own and find the ones with cinematic (better than then-current PCs) graphics? It could be easily done and I can think of a few right off the top of my head - FFX, Shadow of the Colossus, Ico, FFXII, want me to keep going?
Yea, sorry, the rock is tapped out. My LAPTOP alone has roughly double (triple if I count both GPUs in SLI) the TFLOPS power of the PS3 and much more powerful hardware, and many games are STILL put to task, so much that devs don't bother releasing them for the PS3 or 360, because they'd NEVER work on such limited hardware, unless the game devs ditched the entire SDK and built everything from scratch and in pure machine code SPECIFICALLY for the system.
"the only problem with Wii is the really old graphics."
You must not own any Wii games, then. RE4 was good looking besides the fact they had to drop everything to 16-bit color depth to maintain framerates. DBZ: BT3 looks great (but then again cell shading tech can only go so far and Valkyria Chronicles for the PS3 looks about the exact same quality-wise to DBZ on the Wii.
You must only be looking at games like Cooking Mama or older Mario games, because I own a TON of great-looking Wii games. In fact, the Wii gets more use than my PS3.
Someone doesn't have a clue about asymmetrical warfare, I see.
The second the government went against such an organized protest with any sort of force, it would be civil war in that spot, which would spread RAPIDLY.
Do you ever bother to think or do you just post AC without a clue?
I think your English is rusty, as the same principles apply whether or not you're looking millions of light-years away or just a few millimeters away. You are still magnifying that which is not possible to see unaided. Zoom or Magnification, they both get identified by a number and that number represents the exact same thing, the level of enlargement of what you're trying to view.
You are still taking an object that is very small according to your vision, and enhancing its size to see what you normally cannot see.
Zoom: To cause text or other graphics in a window or frame to appear larger on the screen.
Magnification: the act of expanding something in apparent size
You may feel free to try again when you're actually designing the raw optics, like I do as part of my job. Until then, bye-bye, sir, thanks for the fish, and don't let the door hit you on the way out.
"And no, you cannot build a 500x zoom on a P&S nor a dSLR."
Yea, umm, I can easily take a couple of TINY silver-coated lenses (to deal with optical diffraction,) and take pictures of roots with a P&S.
Here, have a 200x crop from a P&S (Kodak C643) with a specialized lens rig that took maybe two minutes to set up, just for you - http://imgur.com/Rqi9r.jpg And that was taken without a tripod, with my shaky hands.
These lenses have been around for quite some time, FYI, and they're not that expensive. Methinks your knowledge of optical physics is lacking.
And with those designs come terra-based launch assistance, which can (not so easily) be accommodated by hydroelectric, tidal, or nuclear power.
Our atmosphere is the big problem, here. Maybe we can design something to disrupt and push the atmosphere out of the way to make friction less of an issue towards launching in the future.
I thought this possible a year or so ago while goofing off with diodes, but imagined the method needed to prevent leakage from the alloy would be too difficult to implement on a small scale.
Glad to see I could be wrong. Science never ceases to amaze and educate me every single day.
Drivers don't need the distraction of some moron yapping away while they're trying to listen for possible car horns or emergency sirens.
Has it ever occurred to you the driver needs to be pretty much without distraction of any sorts in order to ensure the safety of every other person on the road?
"now instead of driving along the road while talking on their phone, the morons _STOP THEIR CAR_"
Because reporting a legal incident that you witnessed while driving away is considered leaving the scene of the crime, DUH. Hello? Common sense? Are you home? *knock knock knock*
Is there such thing as an anti-photon? If so, what would be the outcome of the collision of an anti-photon with a photosynthetically-reactive wavelength against chlorophyll in a plant?
Would the plant react typically and start making sugars, or would we look at destruction of the matter at that area?
Apparently your reading comprehension is screwed, as well as your critical thinking skills.
The fact is the government may *NOT* do certain things. One of those things is spying on people WITHOUT A WARRANT OR PROBABLE CAUSE. *ESPECIALLY* if you are in your PRIVATE DORM ROOM (owned by the government or not doesn't fucking matter,) they have no right to spy on you. YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO PRIVACY.
Back to school for you, sir. You seriously failed civics.
More like 4 generations behind. The PS3 ran what amounted to a modified GeForce 7800GTX.

Um, no, it's easier to push the 360 to it's limit because it has HALF the power of the PS3, not to mention inferior hardware interconnects and speeds.
360: 1TFLOP, GPU included.
PS3: 2TFLOP, GPU included.
Good try, though.

"Monster Hunter for the Wii is another incredibly well made game and pretty much the only RPG on the Wii."
What the hell are you talking about?

Wii Punch-Out uses slightly different and more fine-tuned mechanics. Much better than the Wii Sports boxing.

If they wanted to cause some issues and slowdowns, everybody flying should have been hiding metal and more all over their person.
Or everybody should have shown up with a large knife.
What's the TSA going to do, then?
Not much since they're sorely outnumbered.
"If you don't like it, then don't buy a plane ticket."
You're a moron. Enjoy being raped by the government like the passive ignorant bitch you are.

Still gotta fight gravity, though.
Of course not with a UID that high!

The original Descent had an OGL/Glide add-on that was lifted from D2, IIRC.
Go back to 420chan with your ill-educated nonsense.
DESCENT.
I think that would be the shit.
You can ask for a jury trial in a civil matter. I did exactly that versus EA.
That's the most faulty logic I've heard all week.
Freedom of speech != freedom to endanger others with your ill-restrained speech.
