This is bullshit. There's a Sharp TV manufacturing plant in Memphis right near the corner of Raines and Mendenhall, across the street from the bowling alley. I lived behind it for half my Memphis life. It was still in operation when I moved away from Memphis two years ago.
Actually, one of the selling points of the PS3 was the ability to play my PS2 games (I still have a first-gen PS2 that won't play a few brand-new PS2 games.) but Sony fucked that up so many different ways that I just forgot about that and instead decided to buy the PS3 because it had more standards compliance than the 360.
If they didn't change anything why is it that suddenly I can't disable jack shit on the FaceBook Ads tab? It's totally blank. No menus, no selection boxes, NOTHING.
Really? When I saw the status comments regarding this topic, I went straight to the Facebook Ads section to disable it - Settings>Privacy>News Feed and wall>Facebook Ads and the FaceBook Ads tab was totally blank. Having checked just now, it is STILL blank. Unless it's my ABP blocking the Facebook Ads tab, Facebook made a quick jump to deny people the privacy of their photos.
Yes, and you can be disbarred for not following the ethics rules set forth. Just having a chat with my lawyer, the one helping me with the EA/Spore case.
So maybe not by law but you are required to do so by the association itself.
Security through obscurity DOES work. I invite you to try exploiting any MenuetOS box. Good luck without knowing the actual hardware of the system and having the source code to the ASM-coded drivers written for each individual piece of hardware!
Will the semi-crippled WRT-54GL that I have finally quit bugging out every time I use bittorrent if I used Tomato instead of DD-WRT, and does Tomato come with wireless bridging/repeater functionality?
"You think enough of them are running DD-WRT to call it a homogeny? Name a router that you think has more instances of DD-WRT installed than the factory firmware. "
Buffalo WHR-HP-G54DD comes with it installed by default.
"It would be like if someone living paycheck-to-paycheck decided to tour the world. That isn't going to solve their financial problems its only going to make it worse (by spending a ton and not working)"
Well, not necessarily. This woman I know who goes by 'Nandra' has traveled around the globe, living paycheck to paycheck. She did it just to experience the world, never once did she really lack for anything, nor did she ever put herself into debt.
The fact you let a mere word put you off shows you have no power over yourself, professionalism or not. Believe it or not just about every person I've ever worked with or for used the f-word, quite often. Even my female bosses would swear, sometimes worse than the men!
Professionalism is being able to take the words thrown at you and reply with a better comment that shows your standpoint without resorting to using THE SAME tactics as your opponent.
The professional response, in this case, would be for the company suing this guy to call him a cocksucking whore publicly without ever actually saying so.
I guess you haven't seen the new recoilless full-auto AA-12 shotgun, have you? Spray is a very accurate term considering the shotgun shells are loaded with 00 buckshot.
In medicine, a contraindication is a condition or factor that increases the risks involved in using a particular drug, carrying out a medical procedure, or engaging in a particular activity.
For example, pregnancy is a contraindicator to prescribing barbiturates to a woman.
Much of that can be procedurally generated, as well..kkreiger, as mentioned in other posts above, generates textures for itself, and sound.
Seriously, given enough time, Doom 3 could have been made to fit on a floppy. It might have required something a bit beefier than the machine I ran.kkreiger on, but I wouldn't mind the waiting time for loading. Really, I wouldn't.
No, just the DirectX APIs. Since none of the DX8. features have been phased out that I'm aware of, as long as you have any Windows OS with DX 8.1 or higher it should work just fine.
"3) You can't have things like voices and such in the game, takes too much space. Even with extremely efficient compression (which produces audible artifacts) voices will quickly make your game larger."
Actually, several of the party demoscene files had their own voice synthesizers built in, weighing in around 5-12k in size.
I wish more developers would try doing things like this. I can imagine a game along the designs of Doom3 or Quake4 that would fit on a floppy disc with some proper code crunching.
Of course, the downside is that it'd be all too easy to snag tiny files like that on a torrent site.
The core of the Intel® Coreâ Duo processor-based technology is an enhanced Pentium® M processor 755/7451 core converted to 65nm process technology. The main focus of the core enhancements was to do the following:
* Support virtualization (Virtualization Technology2) [3].
* Support the new Streaming SIMD Extension (SSE3) [4].
* Address performance inefficiencies mainly in the handling of SSE/SSE2, FP (x87) and some long latency integer instructions.
You likely have Virtualization in the newer TC4200 (It'll likely be the TC4400.) Check your BIOS.

"desktop computers didn't use regular PAL or NTSC screens"
Texas Instruments 99/4A - first computer I ever used/owned, hooked directly to a TV.

Exactly. SO MUCH BLOAT.
For proof of how useful assembler is, I'd suggest checking out things from the demoscene or go play with MenuetOS.

"Just look at all those smart individuals with law expertise helping (often for free) the little guys out there"
Lawyers are required to give some time pro bono time each year, IIRC.

If they'd use OUM for their memory modules they'd not have to worry about r/w cycles for a drive that is used for swap.

Never tested it on Vista. Haven't gotten 7 yet.

I've played that. Back on my old 1.8GHz P4, 512 MB of RAM, and a 256MB GeForce 6200 AGP. For what it was back then, it was bad-ass.

I don't think I've laughed so hard in a while.
We could always attach air jets to the helmet to force balance.

"NO ONE has time to write all their code in assembly, not even for the kernel."
I see someone hasn't played with MenuetOS. The entire OS is written in assembly.
Or toss a grenade into a crowded area like a grocery store.
Death is so easy, it only takes a split second.
