I ran across an old 2013 nvidia mining software, that doesn't work with anything supported. I figured it was done unless you happened to have something old that still worked.
Any recent GPU will do, from GTX 1060 to GTX 1080 Ti, also AMD's RX 570 and 580. Dunno about Vega as it consumes insane amounts of power.

They don't care how badass your PC is. You can't use it unless it's a pass through to a USB ASIC. So I went back to hashcat and cracking with the GPU.
Point is I just did this exercise. You can't make money with it anymore. It'll take you around a year at best to even break even. In most cases I doubt you'll ever break even. You can also look forward to your internet connection being hammered.

We moved all of our stat stuff up to Linux. Not hard going from Fortran to something like C or perl. Not hard for me at least. They have a descent Fortran compiler for Linux now. I think Microfocus' might work for you if you're interested. Maybe it's too risky to move to something else? I have a feeling it's very risky to continue to run it under VMS.
