Sorry that happened to you. The trick is to protect your assets. They can go after anything YOU OWN. So own nothing, control everything. Car, plane, house, money, all in a companies name that you control. Don't be going around telling people the names of those companies.
I personally know a number of millionaires and they don't own the 3 story, with elevator house they live in. A trust owns it. Car - business owns it, a business with no assets other than the car. On paper they look like one poor guy. Poverty level. Get a lawyer that knows about asset protection. Not some asshole lawyer that you know (amazes me how many people do this), one that has experience in this. Sort of like going to a foot doctor to get your eye worked on. Go to the eye doc for eye problems.

So later you could and I did one time ask for my ballot. They found it, so it really was counted. Not sure if there is a way to find out if someone just filled out a bunch of ballots, however. What allegedly happened in Tampa Florida and they were all filled out for Al Gore about a week before the election. I don't recall whatever happened with that.

Had to buy a laptop for a business startup. Couldn't get Win 7. Had to have Win 8 if I wanted a deal on a HP laptop (Offered one yesterday with Win 7 - of course). Man it SUCKS! So bad I should be able to get my money back. Not as bad as millenium edition or Vista. I've been using it for over a week. Learned some new short cuts. Seems to update every day to the point it wants to reboot. Major suck. Wish I could put Windows 7 on it, however this laptop is probably not bios (uefi) so I could end up with a brick. Had to be Windows by the way because the stuff it needs to run won't run on the Mac stuff nor Linux.
Most of my college books were never even opened. Sucked it all in from the classes. Then when I really had to study I was screwed. Toughest course I ever took.
