Why would you want Apple to go dead? That would just give the competition an incentive to slack and provide crappy products. If there is no competition then there is no progress. Imagine what Linux, BSD, or Windows would be like if one or the other didn't exist.
I can see it now... A huge red painted copyright symbol on the iceberg. I'm guessing if you trade pieces of the iceberg with friends, you will get sued. Hmmm... I wonder how Sony will implement the rootkits into this one?
I highly recommend m0n0wall as well. It satisfies all of my firewall needs. I'm running it on a box that I found lying near a trash bin. 400Mhz AMD K6III, 64MB of RAM, CD-ROM, 1.44MB floppy, and a 200 watt power supply. Take a look at http://www.m0n0.ch/wall/ for more info. It also has a nice webGUI that can be accessed from a connected computer. Take a look at these installation instructions first. http://www.m0n0.ch/wall/installation_cdrom.php
Maybe not fuck it, but I'm all for reducing the size of it. Our government is becoming more powerful each day and our civil liberties are being taken away left and right. Recent rulings showed that they now have the power of taking away your homes! As a U.S. citizen it is pretty sad to see our liberties being flushed down the toilet by beauracrats that are too ignorant to even read the bills that they pass.
People need to wake up and say no to this tyranny!
I love that show! They always have interesting topics. For anyone that hasn't heard this show, go to their website and listen to their podcast or internet stream.
I always disliked one thing about iTunes, and that is that you must install the Quick Time codec/player in order to use it. I remember on old versions they did not do this... Is there any open source software out there that has an iTunes-esque type of music store? I buy a lot of music from Magnatune.com I like them for their unique taste in music and support of open source formats. I also like the fact that they don't buy into this top-40 chart nonsense.
It's funny you should bring that I up. I just solved the same problem last week on my 9.3
This link below solved almost all of my problems. Go to the multimedia section and pick out the codecs. http://packman.links2linux.de/
In the libraries section look for the Win32-Codecs
The only thing I'm still frustrated is the Python libraries, and.asx audio streams. I can't get iPodder to work with it. I had the same problem with Fedora Core as well.
Hmmm... Maybe it got better. I might give it a try next year. This year I went to the Long Grove Strawberry Fest instead, lots of good stuff there.

More like food poisoning of Chicago... You should have seen all the flies sitting on the food. Garbage and waste all over the place. I got sick after I came back from the taste back in 2002. Never going back there again.
You should try the Free Talk Live podcast. http://www.freetalklive.com/ It's a show about politics and other current events. It's a pretty awesome show! Also the Viking Youth Power Hour is a good one. http://www.thefeedlot.org/vikingyouth/index.php This one is a show on philosophies, theology, atheism, and other interesting stuff. I think those are the two best podcasts out there.
First breast cancer cells, next, the world.

The guy encoded it in MPEG and ASF. It's the same thing.

I've had that problem too, and found out it was a power setting issue in my BIOS. Try to tweak around with the ACPI settings in your BIOS.

I don't see it. All I see is the international versions. Would you mind pasting a link to the no QuickTime download?

True, you can easily find all that stuff all over the place. I think he can still be entertaining to the less tech-saavy people.
"the Department of Homeland Security gets to work" An unintentional joke? O.o
Dude... I just choked on my Sprite from reading your post.
