    I think you misunderstand the purpose of "Fast Food". People don't go there for the fine dining experience, more of a quick meal.

    Even easier than blocking it, you can just not set up the button to buy anything when pressed. When you first get it you have to select which product to buy so just don't do that step.

    Automatic cars also have a gear selector even though they don't require you to select the gear manually.

    But hydrogen has terrible energy density and we don't have widespread distribution networks for it. Ultimately it'd just be a battery for an electric car that's not as good as other options.

    Looking at the list of Corrupt Governments, there seem to be a lot of "big government" countries with the least corruption and a lot of "small/no government" countries at the bottom. Clearly there is a very weak correlation if any between corruption and government size.

    That might be great for hooking your desktop PC to your VCR, but modern electronics are small and require small cabling and small connectors

    Maybe if it's just carrying basic signals, but usb type c is designed to do a lot more so you may not know the capabilities of the host or connection. While it's designed to carry 100w of power, you may want a cable just to connect a webcam that could be a bit thinner and cheaper. You wouldn't want to burn out your cabling by plugging that into a wall. Sure you can hook up a VGA cable, a serial cable, a couple PS2 cables, a parallel port cable, and a DC power adapter - but wouldn't you rather just have one type of cable/connector that handles all of those?

    Maybe I was just lucky, but I played through the entire story without any major bugs. A few things could have been polished to be easier to work with (looking at you settlement building), but it wasn't anything that prevented me from playing.

    A lot of those idiotic shares can be fixed by blocking the pages they come from. My block list is getting pretty extensive now, but it's helping my feed be more about people.

  17. If your goal is security, you are probably 100% right.

    That's assuming you hire someone skilled in the field. For a small business owner with just a few machines and maybe the CEO's nephew fixing the computer you're better off with Gmail

    Also you sometimes get PreCheck for international flights which is often awkward because many airports don't have a line for it.

    The Comcast caps I've seen from people have been at 300 GB where they charge you $10 for 50GB more if you go over, but you've switched to crappy internet with an absolute cap of 650 GB (assuming 24/7 usage) which makes you far less likely to reach it. Using it only 8 hours a day at that speed you won't even reach the Comcast cap!

    It's not so much that Nuance is known for being the best for a long time, it's more that they've bought out all their competitors and have pretty much controlled the market.

    See the problem was it was written on a post-it on the monitor before, but the facility went "paperless" so it had to be put on the machine instead.

    I work with systems that are sensitive AND connected to the Internet (through proper firewalls). It's possible to do, even a SCADA system can do it, but I see you don't understand a thing about securing a connected system so it'd probably be insane for you to attempt it.

    Really you've worked in the field for 10 years and couldn't come up with a single reason that you'd want to connect to a system remotely? Why spend $499 for a redundant machine for each employee when you can install proper network security instead?
