Unless Google can figure out a way to get this to work with iPods... and makes an interface that doesn't suck (Google Video Store is very lacking compared to the ITMS)... AND has something "unique" to their service (lower price isn't going to work) they are screwed...
Going with an actual application instead of an AJAX interface is a departure from Google's business plan... but it is inevitable if they even think they may want to get into this market...
I have the same thing.. if you go hunting around you can get the upgraded version of the HD one... I am using it with my Standard Definition TV but I get the 80Gigs of recording capacity (which is great for SD) and 2 shows at once... It's not the TiVO interface, but it's damn good...
Take a look at Newsgroups and how things are released there... if one client doesn't get all the packets, then there are always parity files that are distributed with the releases...
Now, assuming you wnated to add multicast support to Bittorrent, if a client misses a few packets they just go back and request it again... But I doubt you would want to use regular old BT... it isn't designed for Multicast networks...
Yes... because a competing company purchasing 10,000 of these then modifying them in a manor that the competing companies themselves are very much against (and wish to make illegal) is a GREAT idea.../rolls eyes
Or you could, you know... design it in HTML with Tables. I'm not going to loose sleep because my site can't be seen properly on Lynx or Konqueror. I worry about IE, Firefox, Opera, and Safari. All of which render plain-jane HTML just fine for my tastes.
yes... but that is not high-speed.
For $5/month you can get unlimited data transfer over Sprint phones. Get vision service and have dial-up-networking dial #777. More Info At Sprintusers.com
How many of those accounts are gold farmers paid $0.05/hour? Or secondary accounts? There are families with 5 copies of the game.
Blizzard needs to invest in endgame content QUICKLY before they loose all those subscribers. After you hit 60, the game just sucks. Plus, there is still too much grinding for me.
Google could have helped them with that
Not exactly: Reports of our death have been greatly exaggerated...
It's Nick... Nick....
And I know it is Colbert's phrase...
A big tip of my hat to this guy... and a wag of my finger to the bush administration... bears are still the #1 threat at the moment...
A lot of warehouses don't care about the insane turnaround speed that Newegg cares about...

You can remove that RSS feed... I found it annoying, considering I already read my RSS feeds on my Google Personalized Homepage...

As Napoleon Dynamite would say: "LUCKY"
or was it: "Have you taken it off any sweet jumps"?
Google just needs to buy LexisNexis and EBSCO Publishing and the databases associated with them.

I think that is what Google is claiming in their blog response
At least Blue Man Group has something to add into their show....
they figured this out after it showed up on Google? What ever happened to auditing what you have on the web.

I'm personally suprised we don't have a leaked image of a Google Mini or Search Appliance HDD somewhere in the bittorrent world...
How will these kiosks work in the areas where they are needed most? What about internet access? etc.
Didn't you get the memo? We're putting cover sheets on the TPS Reports before they go out now. I'll get you another copy of that memo.
I believe you are exactly correct sir. +1 Insight, if only I had mod points at the moment
