    i am the guy that has the older phone, i dont spend big bux on the newest smartphone edition, i am the guy that goes to amazon or ebay and buys the previous generation phone that is basically new but old stock that never got sold when it was the new phone a couple years ago

    my favorite is KiwiSDR, it is a SDR that plugs on to a Beaglebone Green and the Beaglebone has Debian on it, and i am gradually tweaking the KiwiSDR software to my personal liking, nothing too drastic, mostly user interface things https://imgur.com/a/d6dJ4

    yup, those are deal killers, and the CDMA is a lock in to Sprint while GSM is used by more carriers and international while CDMA is rapidly becoming obsolete and is used only in the USA

    i would rather see Redhat be turned over to CentOS, and if Oracle wants to keep borrowing code then they would have to obey the GPL and keep what ever code they change open so it can be folded back in to the FOSS Linux community, it is only fair since 99% of the code oracle's linux has been developed as GPL anyway

  16. it is probably some odd kernel driver for some obscure hardware that is free enough and the source code is open for inspection and modification which would be good enough to go in to the kernel source tree but maybe it has no license at all, just raw code open for anything

    make the MFGers of phones allow users to remove offending apps, i have a samsung S6 and i disabled microsoft office and facebook and a few other factory installed apps, but i can not remove them from the device
