I've tried a bunch of different drivers and choosen the "Show disabled devices" option in the audio settings. I still don't have wave out or "what you hear". Anyone got any idea how to fix that? Are there some beta drivers perhaps? All the other solutions seem to be related to other sound cards.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Most important: Find a routine that works for you!
My steps are more or less like this: * I come in late (I always come in at 9:43) * I don't work more than 1½ hour in a row (Except when I'm on a coding spree) * Make sure my desk & general work area doesn't have too many distractions. (Throw away the family photo's and post-its, that's what jpg's and txt's are for) * Eat lunch the same time every day (And I take around 1½ to 2h before I begin working again) * Good Headphones are great to ignore the outside noise/world and concentrate on the task at hand. * Skip the surfing in between breaks. * Don't be afraid to take powernaps (use an alarm and don't sleep more than 15-20min) * Be sure to do something with your spare time so life doesn't become one big routine * Get a reasonable goal to keep the big picture (My goal is a house in Spain when I'm 35)
It took me around 2 years after I started working my first fulltime coding job before I actually found what routine that really works for me.
I seriously recommend you use XML/XSLT to render the html. In that way you can support markups in content and still have full control over the end result. And if everything is stored in a database its very easy to edit it through a lightweight backend.
The lack of killed trees killed in the process of publishing eBooks!
but seriously though, here's my reason:
I have no PDA or laptop so reading a SciFi eBook before going to sleep isnt really going to happen unless I move my 21" screen to the bedroom and that's not gonna happen. Although I am thinking about buying a UMPC when they come out. So I might start buying more eBooks when that happens.
I totally agree, in my opinion the most annoying person in my office is also the one that's the most cheerful. And I also believe that she is deliberately trying to make me insane with her complete inability to foresee other people's needs despite constant reminding and not to forget lacking of any knowledge of things technical or logical. I should mention that she is one of my project leaders and that the company we work for only deals with IT solutions, mostly within web publishing.
She constantly does things like such as
* NOT filling out a task description for tasks with extremely narrow deadlines.
* delivering totally irrelevant information about tasks.
* asking why layouts looks strange on her laptop when she has accidentally increased the font size in the browser to ridiculous sizes (this happens way to often)
* making very annoying exercises every 30 minutes for all to see in front of her desk
* breathing my air
Maybe I should mention that I at work hold the unofficial title "High priest in the church of whine"
Temporary remove the battery if it's not in need of charging. The brand we use at my company runs the fan regularly, we started removing the battery from our laptops when an adapter was near and the fan only ran once or twice per day instead of every 10 minutes.
I used to be pretty down all the time in my teens, low self esteem and all of that. Then I found out that I could turn it all around by start to enjoy pain and suffering (my own and others). I dont bring pain and suffering to others and I dont inflict it onto myself but when it does happen I just think that its a part of life and I might as well like it. The feeling of satisfaction comes from feeling that you're pushing your limits and expanding your boundaries. Because without evil there can be no good right? Therefore you should learn to enjoy both.

Resistance is futile, you will detect humidity
