This one here puzzles me... maybe it's just tricking my eyes but it looks like there's hardly any room in the cockpit for a crew of 4 or 5.
Are there any shuttles on display (Smithsonian perhaps?) where visitors can sit in the real thing ?
Not sure if I2P has been mentioned in any of the slashdot headlines yet.. most likely in a month or two after the UDP transport has been implemented and most of the bugs ironed out.
I2P is basically the network layer anonymized, apps like apache/jabber/irc/etc work fine over it with sometimes only minor mods (to ensure anonymity is preserved.) And no, it's not freenet replacement as some have thought.. different beasts they are.
I'd plug my own eepsite but that would defeat the purpose of using i2p wouldn't it....
maybe a form of passive protest is in order here. Since you've been black-balled by these Lords of Spam, you might as well dive into the Spam business. Make whatever money you can selling viagara, cialis soft tabs and penile ejection units, might as well.. around town everybody knows you as the hero-cum-spammer.
Not everybody in the movie/film industry is as excited about DRM as you think. In the segment that I work in, DRM is not even an issue. We're have to be focused on producing new content every quarter that'll be slurped up and spit out by the next.. DRM would just slow us down:|
Well.. how many people usually show up for Penguicon ? There is the Casino in Windsor that has convention space, and the Cleary Center just a few blocks west of that..
I watched Mythbusters twice and decided my time could be spent better somewhere else. The first show they were trying to debunk the myth of bodies that go flying through the air like they always seem to do when someone is shot in a hollywood movie...
That's not a myth, thats hollywood. Seriously why even bother taking that seriously.. They ended up shooting pig carcass with all sorts of fancy weapons for no bloody reason.
The second show was a real doozer. They were trying to break the myth that fireplaces will actually lower the temperature in a house (ya, the fire sucks in a whole lot of air from around the house.. thus lowering it slightly.) Well they found out it worked, it did lower the temperature, slightly by 3 or 4 degrees.
But that really misses the point of fireplaces and why _EVERY_ log cabin has one, it's not for style.. But watching the show might leave one wondering if makes any sense to have a fireplace to begin with. Most of the heat from fireplaces radiates from the stones surrounding it...
we just call it what it is, a two-die module. This is not true dual core but two cores slapped into one chip package... Sure you'll only be using one socket but thats about the only different. Architectually, you will need to look at AMD's offerings for true dual-core.
The first problem: They hired amateurs to photograph priceless artifacts. Though the description is short it does include some tip-offs, "skateboard wheels." Sounds like they hired some real flakes that couldn't control the environment they were photographing and they were using inexpensive equipment...
I applaud the brothers for their work but it seems like a wasted effort because it could have been avoided if they had hired professionals to photograph the damn thing.
That's really besides the point, nobody using third party registrars believes they're escaping the eye of the law. What they want is privacy from *freaks*, *stalkers*, *lawyers on a fishing expedition*, *just plain old assholes*...
My business phone has been plagued with red-neck housewives over the years, that have somehow, someway, figured out how to do a whois my domainnames.. Seriously, some people are fucked up.
r.a.s.1974.
I've only had one experience with UPS and it went very badly. The crux of the problem is the fact that I live in Canada and purchased an item on Ebay from an American. Two fur coats (muskrat & beaver) for $475 (that was the final bidding price.)
When the seller shipped the package he wrote down the retail/market price on the package which was $1800. The UPS guy shows up at my door on a monday morning and tells me that I need to pay for the package, "How much ?" I asked.. $780.21.
$780 for what ? huh ? He's telling me that he can take credit card.. So I sent him on his way and told him to keep it at the distribution center till I called my lawyer.
The $780 wasn't customs/exise duties charged by the government, in fact my packaged slipped through without any duties applied.
This is how UPS operates when they deliver a package from the U.S. into Canada. They have their own special levy that they call a "Brokers Fee." The brokers fee is based on the value of the package.. ie. $30 package/$16 brokers fee, $100 package/$45 brokers fee, etc. So in my case, the listed price of $1800 is converted to Canadian dollars and then a brokers fee (a percentage based on which price bracket it fits into) is applied..
Even had the seller wrote down $475 on the package, which I paid, I would still be facing a brokers fee of over a $150.
Unfortunately the seller, as i mentioned, wrote down the market value on the package and not the price I paid for it. The brokers fee doesn't make any god damn sense, FedEX/USPS/etc have never charged these fees... And here's UPS trying to extort money from me because they know I want my package.. I'm faced with the question if I Should or shouldn't pay the $780 for package ? Is it worth it?
In the end I told them to ship it back, go fuck themselves and expect retribution in good time. I was out nearly $500 because of some insane brokers fee I was never told about to begin with.
(You might be asking why I was out $500 if I had the package shipped back to the seller. I did ask him and he said it was okay, BUT when UPS showed up at his place, they decided to charge him as well... he told them to fuck off. So.. somewhere, UPS is holding two fur coats and a whole lot of my money. )
Moral of the story: If you're Canadian and shop on Ebay.. ASK FOR YOUR PACKAGE TO BE SHIPPED BY FEDEX/USPS/ETC.. NEVER UPS, AVOID UPS AT ALL COSTS.

When they take you off the list, stop spamming.

I don't understand this one either. Novi is dismal, depressing and ugly. Why not in Ann Arbor ? Or how about Windsor :)

Do they even have these in the u.s. anymore ?
