despite everyone hating lucas because its fun and cool and despite people hating the first 2 prequals, everyone will go see these movie. you cant stop yourself. just the curiousity factor is enough to drag you in.
and it would be even better if people stopped acting like lucas owes this to us. the whole 'lucas can still fail us' thing is BS. i think the people who made barbarshop failed us. even though the other movies havent been the most entertaining of films, on a technological side, they both made huge strides forward. i was never a starwars fan but ill defintely see the 3rd one.

i used to live an an area that had 'wireless cable tv'. they just threw a little antenna on top of the house and it was fine. sorta annoying though because there was about a 1-3 second pause between each channel. but still, the technology has been around for awhile.
besides, if someone is an emergancy, who is gonna bother booting up their laptop to make a 911 call?
"oh man! you are in so much trouble.. once my laptop boots up."
this is/was the same problem with 911 on a cell phone. they can get a general idea of where you are (check what tower/service its coming from) but who the hell knows where i really am.
unless they get all sorts of big brother on you, how else would they know where you are?
im about to graduate with a BS in CS(all CS courses are already completed) and all i know is software. the difference between hardware and software is the difference between being a computer engineer and computer science. however, there are some school (university of central florida) that now actually offer IT as a major, which you learn stuff about different OS's and networking crap.
but if you are talking about switching to computer engineering from computer science, there is a huge difference, atleast at my school it is. i know i couldnt do half the crap they do because they deal with a lot more with circuits and what not. IT though shouldnt be a problem.
as for 'being in high demand'. im not sure what area you are referingt to. if in india, then woo! you are in business!. as for me, im happy with my key card still lets me into my place of work:).

how long do you listen to music straight for? im sure some people may commute like an hour to work and another hour back. but how many people need ALL that music readily available? i have 384 megs on my mp3 player and it gets roughly 4-6 cds worth of music. but i listen to it about an hour straight at most. if i want other songs on there, its not really that big of a deal for me to hook it up to the computer and put new songs on there.

coders, rippers, hax0rz, people fluent in l337 speak, programmers, script kiddies, etc do not have girlfriends. whoops. i cant wait for the chilling episode where melissa gets bored with brian and leaves him for an IT guy. oh man the conflict!
Id like to watch it (at work now), but i cant imagine a show about 'the scene' can be that interesting. but hey, if i have low expectations, it cant be disappointed:).
