The reason open source works is because people are working towards a common goal. Why are people shocked to find out that something good can be produced without promise of huge profits. Thank you open source:)
I'm not entirely sure, but I would imagine 64GB being over-kill on a single MB... it would probably(almost certain) be too much for 1 processor, but I'm not sure. If it's possible, I'd be interested in pictures.
Yay, now I can have my PSP infected by those g0d-awful zombie spammin', something or other jerks on IRC(not all Irc'ers are jerks, just those guys that send the things that does the stuff to my computer and now my psp) Point and case.... I forget.
I can't help but want to go all vigilante on these jerks... why can't they let us steal like common criminals! I enjoy my 375GB(ISH)music collection and proud of it! Freebies rock as far as I'm concerned:)
I would buy 10 million of these crazy buggers and set em loose! Attack my minions.. or I might use them for something constructive like breaking destructive stuff....
Is anyone aware of a hacker con taking place in Canada? That would be awesome, although, I can't guess how many people would go... there aren't many of us up here. Its good to hear that hacker cons haven't been shut down.. although, it does beg the question: how long until they try to? Then what do we do?
Debian deserves a little respect and for good reason! I started out on Debian and continue to use it to this date on a number of systems(not all). Please vote!
I have been looking for a nice distro to put on my Acer Travelmate 2200 for sometime. All I want is something that works with my wifi card, supports my sound card, and my wireless optical Logitech mouse. If I could combine that distro with a good environment, I'd be sold. Please email me suggestions.
He then flames the whole world of computer repairmen as 'a bunch of unqualified amateurs.'
It is so true. I have dealt with countless 'techies' who claim to be able to fix my problem(usually resort to them after much frustration) only to find out its a faulty component or something like that all along. I once had to pay a guy I bought a component from to tell me the component he sold me was defective!
This article is about many things, including corporate America's towards Macs, therefore it is on topic. We're simply exploring one specific aspect of the article.

Corporate America is hesitant of buying Apple products because they cost too darn much. I love my PowerBook, but it was hella expensive.
I have given Gentoo several attempts and have floundered each time because of hardware issues. It would be nice to have a distro that recognized all my hardware with minimal configuration. Gentoo is still a little scary for my Mepis oriented thinking.
People need to chill out a little. It was a harmless statement. And even if it wasn't intended as nothing more then a statement, what is wrong with freedom of religion? We should all pray! Pray that idiots(not referring to anyone in particular), psychos, trolls, and the like suddenly burst into flames, or lose access to this forum. Stop the flaming.
I often find that their are WAY too many options shipped with a distro. Why not keep it simple start designing better all-around software, rather then 100 alternatives to the most essential linux tools? I think SOME collaboration is a good idea.
Why wouldn't the entire gov't use open-source? Most cost analysis studies show that Linux is cheaper in the long run not to mention more secure. The studies that indicate Windows to be cheaper are obviously biased.
The reality is, is that if open-source isn't the option then we might as well be handing everything over to one insane little geek rather then a community. Live long and prosper Linux!

Question: Are you looking for something searchable? Perhaps like a database type of concept where you key in certain keywords?
The best part of that movie was when he up-chucked... it was so nasty. Oh, the drama!

My desktop machine is currently duel booting Slackware 9.1 and FreeBSD 4.9 and I'm loving it. Just curious, but what are you guys running?

Yesterday was a total waste of time.. no point in reading /., will today prove to be the same? Who cares about comics? Let's keep it relevant.
April fool's day is one of the worst times of the year. Let's just keep it serious please. Let's have some real news.
They won't get my help.. I'll stick with good old Slackware... Novell has had their time... get off the scene.
Gimp: New and improved. I love the photoshop look and feel. Now I can enjoy the look of photoshop with the functionality of Gimp.
