    This is true. The intent can be proven by physical evidence. What this leglation is trying to establish is that your are guilty until proven innocent of theft. It is the same as being accused of stealing a pile of money becuase it was laying on a table and you are standing in front of it and maybe even reached out and touched it but dit not pick it up. You could be accused of a crime if you start to download something and when discovering that there was a copyrite, stopped. You have not attempted to use, or duplicate the entire contents in any way, but, you are guilty?

    The video card industry is so secretive with thier software. ATI even locks the BIOS so after POST you cannot access the card to download it. They are so afraid that the competiition will find out how they work or that someone else will build a better driver. This is the only part of the PC buisiness that is this large, yet this secretive. I thing that they are just overly paranoid.

    This is the reason I do not live there. For less than 100K$ I raise a family of 4 and put away in 401k as well as invenstments and live in a 3200 sq. ft. house.

    What you are saying then, is that the pay in NY city sucks. Why would you work there then?

    When Vista can copy a file the same speed or faster than XP....When Vista doesn't require more the two times the memory and resources of XP....When my exhisting base of software (for which I have spend thousnads of dollars) will no longer run on XP.....When I can no longer play BF2 on XP............I will be dead.

    Actually it is true. You site a case of U.S. law being broken by someone in a country sympathetic to the U.S. law. The U.S. is not sympathetic to the laws of a monarchy that sells it's children so there is little that will happen here.

    If you are saying the $65K is rich then, yes, thay have pandered to me. The problem is that I am not "rich" and it was only the Republicans that have cut my taxes and created jobs by the "rich" increasing invenstments to create my current job.

    This was the point of my earlier post exactly! HMOs are of no value if you are really sick. The doctors are typically those that cannot sustain a real practice or are (as it was when I was briefly in the HMO) paid $10 per patient per month whether he sees you or not. They have no incentive to work for the patient and therefore do not. They are miscreants of the HMO and have no interest in the patient.

    HMO was all my employer offered so I said "Hell NO" and bought my own coverage. You always have that option unless you are dirt poor.

    You must be talking about facilities that are primarily HMOs. Anyone in an HMO is either dirt poor and has no choice or a total idiot I was in one once and opted to buy my own medical insurance instead..

    The doctors, dentist and hospital I use have the newest data base systems and computers. Every time I am in the hospital, I see more new equipment.

    DUH....This is a server system. One should note however that the Blackford chipset is dismal at memory performance. We are using Connroe processors becuase of this. The XEON requires the Blackford chipset with horible memory throughput. Why Intel insists on this piece of crap is beyond me.

    TW reliability has been incredable. I have had no outages or connection issues related to RR in years (my power is less reliable). Ther are no other options (AT&T still can't get DSL north of Austin). But with always on (VPN to my work proves that), why would I want any?

    It is most often misstated but the bottom line here is that there is nothing in the United States constitution stating "separation of church and state". The constitution states that the government shall not tell the public what religion they MUST practice. If one reads and understand plain English, this would be understood and not contorted into something that it is not.

    Try XP 32. All works fine there. The 64bit version is just server 2003 64bit kernel. It is not really designed to be used on the desktop or as game or media machine. Only 32 bit XP is good for that. Besided that, there isn't any performance benifit for 64 bit yet.
