Are these the kind of pathetic delusions we can expect out of you Republicans for the next four years? You may even top whine level of the Democrats in 2000.
Ayers hasn't changed, huh? So you are saying that he's still plotting to bomb buildings and commit terrorism. Because if that is seriously what you're saying, then you had better either report him to the FBI or STFU. Being a university professor who you disagree with (even if he is a complete flake, and he may well be) is NOT the same as being a terrorist. If you can't see that, then there is nothing I can say to change your mind. Not that there really isn't any point to changing your mind, because in January your party is going to be neutered anyway and then it won't matter what you think.
And how many former criminals could I find if I probed YOUR past, huh? How many people do you associate with in church who were once criminals in the distant past? At the office? In your family? How many common connections could I find if I probed every inch of YOUR life?
If you're friends with a man who was once a criminal when you were 8 years old but had changed in the decades since, does that make YOU a bad person, or just a normal one?
So you're saying Ayres was still blowing up buildings when Obama knew him? Or are you saying that if you were friends with someone who was ONCE a criminal, but had reformed, then you would still be "palling around with criminals" if they were on some board with you? Because, if that's the case, most of the church-goers in this country are palling around with criminals, whores, drug users, etc.
But, after today it won't matter anyway. Come tomorrow, your friend McCain will be palling around with a minority party and addressing Barak Obama as "Mr. President-elect."
Once again, I must point out to the politically naive that you NEVER, NEVER, NEVER listen to a politician's WORDS. To get the truth, you must always look at his ACTIONS. And John McCain's action in this matter was quite clear. Back in February when the Senate passed a bill to force the CIA and other government agencies to follow the Army Field manual procedures on enemy interrogation (which specifically bans torture and techniques such as waterboarding), your anti-torture hero John McCain voted against it (even after vocally supporting it earlier and sponsoring an earlier bill to establish this restriction for the Army).
When it comes down to the wire, John McCain's talk is cheap. But we won't have to worry much about that after today.
And it's well known-that one of your good high school buddies was a pedophile. I'm going to show up at your job tomorrow and let everyone there know about how you like to pal around with pedophiles. You cool with that?

If I need to do another escort mission with some idiot who can't walk around a boulder in the middle of the road
That is why I hate, hate hate, HATE escort missions and missions where you must keep some AI character alive in games. It's one thing to deal with a stupid AI enemy (perhaps a little laughable, but not frustrating). It's quite another to deal with a stupid AI ally. Basically, in most of the games I play on higher difficulty settings, the ally AI's are just cannon fodder. Anything else is just damned annoying (especially when you can't even command them to get down or take cover).
There are a few games that do this right: Halo 3 (which makes vital character invulnerable and everyone else dispensable), Half-Life 2 (which periodically replenishes your cannon fodder AI allies and makes the one non-cannon fodder character near-invulnerable), and Mass Effect (where you can command your allies directly). And there are also games that do it wrong, like Oblivion (where your allies on escort missions don't scale as well as enemies, can't repair their weapons and armour, and do stupid shit like walk off cliffs).
Considering that Sony has been one of Youtube's biggest adversaries on this very issue, I would call that highly unlikely. I suspect they would just pull the entire user-generated content feature from the game before they did anything to advocate Youtube's defense.
You mean like calling him a terrorist, a socialist, and a Marxist? I guess we can give McCain credit for at least stopping short of calling him a pedophile. But then, McCain still has a few hours left, so don't count that out yet.
An ironic ending for a guy who was a VICTIM of this very kind of dirty politics in 2000. Of course, that was back before he had spent 8 years abandoning every single principle he had once stood for (including, most tragically of all, his opposition to the very kind of POW torture that he himself had once endured). In short, when John McCain loses today he can blame Bush, Palin, the economy, Obama, etc. all he likes. But, in truth, he has only himself to blame.
Seriously, did anyone NOT see that coming from a mile away? Sony are notorious control freaks and DRM fanatics and always have been (a legacy of their conflict of interest between being a media producing company foremost and a hardware/software company second and third). If it weren't for it saving them money on content generation, they likely wouldn't allow user created content at all.
Ironically, their cheapness and control-freak IP terms are now likely to come back and bite them on their asses with the very tool that they and their RIAA/MPAA partners have used to harass youtube and other content provider sites (the DMCA, which they helped lobby for). They must now either start policing their game for IP violations or remove the user-created content feature altogether (effectively ruining the game).
I don't see why this is modded flamebait. He has a legitimate point. Let's face it, processor-wise and capability-wise the Wii is little more than a slightly improved Gamecube. The whole console was built around the controller, as has every game for the system. This is a fun novelty, for sure (and great for parties). But it would still be more than fair to call it a "gimmick," especially as so many Wii owners are now admitting that their Wii's spend most of the time these days gathering dust (only broken out for friends and parties). While consoles like the 360 and PS3 move forward, many Wii owners are increasingly disappointed by scarce offerings and underpowered performance (look at Yahtzee's recent review of the Wii version of The Force Unleashed for a pretty good summary of this problem).
Japanese nationalism bit them in the ass on that one. Too many Japanese companies act like it would be beneath them to admit that any Westerner has a good game idea.
...and that no doubt just exploded when a 100,000 /.'ers all hit it at once. Sadly, one less C64 in the world.
You're a World of Warcraft player, aren't you?
Not burning their house down will only embolden them.
Don't worry, a little fire will show those mutants who's in charge!
Don't know what TV news network you're watching, but all the ones I've watched are saying a HELLUVA lot more than that.

Yes, anyone who would even suggest such a socialist idea obviously pals around with terrorists and isn't part of the real America.

Since this topic is essentially an open invitation to a giant flamewar, might as well go all the way.

I'll deal with them just as soon as I get back from Cambodia.
It would probably help if I knew who "Egosoft" was. If they do remove their DRM, they're pretty much the only company that does.
Apparently not old enough to move out of their parents' basements.
Common mistake.
You've inspired me to turn off MTV, and also to lynch my landlord.
