I've taken at least 3 dozen Uber/Sidecar/Lyft rides , most expensive one was 28 bucks , i usually take short trips and it's not only cheaper, it's a LOT cheaper, if it wasn't for those options I wouldn't catch a cab because they are prohibitively expensive

The original plan for them ended being made obsolete by vast improvements in cell phone tower technology. The company was sold for a bargain basement price and then did start to make money by focusing on niche customers

the chief difference is how important the # of life cycles you can get is. With smaller batteries it's only slightly important, with electric car batteries it's a huge deal .
