    We finally get an addition to the Developers section, and it's about Web Fonts?

  2. Re:Target Audience on Why Slackware Still Matters · · Score: 1

    Its far better for machines where fancy grahics are neither required or desired, such as using older hardware for remote storage/backup...

    Slackware ships with x.org and KDE. How is it different than any other distro which does the same?

  3. A sad state of affairs on Mobile Magazine's Notebook Tech Support Reviews · · Score: 1

    Yeah, this is basically what it's come to. And, it's not just outsourcing. Many small companies I deal with put their newly-hired pimply kids on tech support. Because, guess what, the senior people (who actually know their ass from a hole in the wall) can't be bothered.

    Not to mention, they hand out shirts that say 'Because not everyone can go to Cal Tech.", yet:

    We inflated Palm trees and duct taped them to the edge of the wall in front of the dome, as well as in front of the library window, so that the cold, damp MIT students could at least get a glimpse of the paradise that would have awaited them in California.

    I thought they couldn't get in to Cal Tech(?).

    ++ vote for 'Liger'!...

    Deb: "What are you drawing?"

    Deb: "What's a Liger?"

  11. My rights on When Would You Accept DRM? · · Score: 5, Insightful

    I'm fine with any 'Digital Rights Management' that doesn't, in the course of said management, infringe on _my_ management of _my_ digital rights.
