Is there some sort of cloth that could be included in the contents of each iPod that you could use to buff the plastic smooth, much the same as a polishing cloth?

I know auto painting professionals wet sand paint with fine grit sandpaper, which leaves no scratches, just a nice smooth surface. (obviously a wet sand wouldn't work for an ipod)

But is there something similar that would work for an iPod?

I think the question is when. For the mass market to catch on to what early adopters have embraced, it's probably going to take an ipod like product that is easy and does it well. I have a feeling it's still a ways off.

A lot of people also use things like the itrip which rely on the ipods battery. When they go back to using the pod with just earbuds, the battery life has significantly decreased. In that case as in yours, blame shouldn't be placed on Apple since it's the user that has caused the problem.

Whiny Kids are a product of bad parenting. For Example: When LOTR Return of the King first came out, this family behind me obviously didn't want to pay for a baby sitter for their 3 year old, who was scared practically the whole movie, sobbing and screaming. It was really quite sad, and you'll recall this movie wasn't an R. A good parent would have left the theatre with the poor kid and gotten a voucher, instead of shushing the poor thing the whole movie. Common sense would have told them, this is not a movie for a three year old. It ruined the movie for everyone in the Audience. Fortunately, management took care of it, but it took far to long to get them, since no one wanted to get up and miss the movie. There needs to be some type of monitoring system so no one has to get out of their seat to resolve the issue. -Jate
