Rasmus (PHP) pointed out at linux.conf.au that while google does some really great things, they are a child compared to yahoo or MS. Yahoo has some 50 subsites that must support same sign on in seconds etc and millions of users worldwhite. From my experience, in Australia anyway, the linux expertise at IBM is low - if it wasnt for Ozlabs, I doubt many people would know how to admin a linux box. Maybe its a good thing for IBM to shred their dead weight?
Of course Bill (and Microsoft) are going to hate Google; they are after all competitors in the search industry. What, do you really except them to sit down and play a game of checkers?

Why not rename this topic to 'How many comedic remarks can we make against MS and the WinXP name change?' as it would better meet the contention of these posts.
