Live Picture of the Next Xbox

n0ethics writes "A live picture of the Xbox 360 was leaked from Microsoft's Xbox 360 launch party held last night. The culprit appears to be a privately-owned cameraphone. Engadget Reports... Also included in the leak was the new Xbox Live headset, a new Xbox 360 controller and the new Eye-toy-ish Xbox 360 peripheral. Now the question is: was this intentional, or should we fear Bill?"

It has nothing to do with xenophobia, either - they love their Levi's jeans and their Coke and their McDonald's. They just did not specifically like the Xbox, and two of the reasons were a) it was ugly, and b) it was too big.

I'm not sure MS has fixed the ugly issue (I personally think they made it worse), but standing the thing upright really saves on shelf space. Even for me, in a New York apartment, with four consoles on my console shelf I'd never be able to fit them all if two weren't standing upright (a US and an import PS2) and one wasn't a tiny GameCube. The idiots come out whenever the xbox (new or old) is mentioned.

I personally love my xbox (1) as ugly as it is. XBox Media Center, and the emulators for it make it one wicked litte transportable tv-centric box.

Once in awhile I even run Damn Small Linux on it with a usb keyboard/mouse.

The joystick (s-controller) is (IMO) the best one I've ever used.

I try to stay away from MS products, as I don't agree with a lot of their business decisions, but I got this thing for super cheap with a dead dvd-rom. It's dead-ass simple to mod, and there's a lot of really good homebrew stuff for it.

It's a great media machine.. even if the braindead MS tried to make it limited (I can't believe they didn't come out with their own XMBC.. the one crap product they released which needed an XP Media Center box was retarded).

I've never played any madden games, and Halo 1 & 2 pretty much bored me.

Oh yes, and I have a number of BSD and Linux boxes, so I guess I must be a traitor.
