    I am using two Intec hard foam pads.. and for non-metal pads, they are pretty damned good (like all hard foam (NOT DENSE FOAM) pads). Been able to survive Burning Heat! (3 Option Mix) and TSUGARU heavy easily. ^_^

    Well, that's why they have sources at the end of the article(s). Surely Wikipedia is relable as a library of links. Sure it may not be good now because of the abuse, but we should hep it grow to the point where it can be good (and my teachers will stop closing their ears at any question about any aspect of wikipedia. \_/)

    Keywords: Limited time. I think that the basic concept of copyrights is good the way the founding fathers had it, but 95 - 100+years easily is NOT what any person using common sense would call a limited time.

    File sharing is morally wrong: you know that.

    No, I don't "know" that. I know you consider all file-sharing wrong even if there is legal file-sharing does and can occur. I know that file-sharing legal goods is morally sound, I also know that you made a false generalization. File-sharing is only bad if the intentions are not following the laws, that does not make the technology only bad especially since there is legal content that is shared.


    I just want to "borrow" your computer for a bit, play around with it, download some questionable material, troll the Wikipedia, nothing serious. I'm sure you see no problem with that, because you have no problem with copyright infringement, so that wouldn't be stealing after all.

    Straw man flaimbait. First of all you make a comparison that compares two different bits (stealing a computer and copying data) and make them equal, then you continue by making the false assumption that his denouncing calling illegal file-sharing anything but that as saying it is O.K.


    I am through with this post. If anything, you should be modded down not for your belief that it is stealing, but for the fact that you try to prove your point through accusations and unbacked assumptions and bad analogies.

    Well, stealing has always been illegal, but we *are* talking about infringement of copyrights here... I think that if you mod me down for saying this point, you also need to mod down the parent post and the post above for making statements that are made in every news story about this topic - it's only fair.

    The only other option, odds are it is really craopy, but if doing DDR in a class, do "ghosting" for those not playing the DDR game itself, so they stil can mimic the moves and try getting the exersise the main player(s) are getting (if not using the bar).

    So your saying that DDR in schools is only problematic in ass-backwards states and a good idea in places where it is more likely to succeed (more and more states, since DDR is inceasing in popularity here. ^_^) BTW, k-pop and j-pop are NOT the only kinds of music in DDR... 500+ songs spanning nearly (or over) 20 games in more than 5 genres IIRC.

    Actually, the pads range in price, the best ones being near arcade quality and costing over $1,000... the games range anywhere from $29.99 to $50+ depending on where you live. I don't know why you'd want to bother with the Xbox ones anyways, they suck compared to the DDRMAX series. (ULTRAMIX 1: Light/standard/Heavy/Training/Challenge VS DDRMAX/MAX2/EXTREME: beginners/light/standard/heavy/Oni Nonstop Challenge/Endless/Training Mode and a larger variety of songs)

    On a regular DDR arcade game, 2 people can play (except for the Solo version). On home versions, mostly 2 players as the maximum except for the DDR ULTRAMIX series (DDRMAX series pwns) which can have up to 4 players playing at once.

    Spoken like somebody who has never really played DDR before judging.


    I participate actively in P.E in school, but I also play DDR at home... a lot of DDR, not just light mode, but standard, and heavy/standard/heavy on doubles mode (with 2 pads).


    DDR involves you using your body. Play it a lot, you will notice changes. Just because you don't see how it is arobic doesn't mean it isn't, it just means you need to update your definition. I have strengthened my legs considerably, and can move them faster too thanks to DDR.

    Unless you go to a school like I do where DDR is increasing in popularity... much of the middle school plays it.... I was in a conversation with a large group of 10 or so DDR players and potential players talking about my adventures into the realm.
    DDR can be embarassing if you let it get embarassing. Concentrate on AAAing that Light/Standard/Heavy song and you will not have to worry about looking like crap during the gameplay, and actually doing badly, from experience.

    Well, If by " protecting their own IP rights, or for publicly discussing options for doing so" you mean distorting the truth, outright lying, or other deceptful methods, then this is why it is not outright hypocritical to attack one and nott the other, since it is all about the method, and so far I have not seen GNU/GPL licenced software developers stoop down to the tactics the **AAs have, making it easier (and more correct, IMO) to be lot more sympathetic to them than the **AAs.

    I disagree, having my body up to the speakers while selecting the song (not sexually, I mean), and having the bass from Burning Heat (3 Option Mix) really noticible before selecting the song... I just stand and let the bass flow through, the feeling, the sound... it is amazing. Then I select the song, almost finish it on heavy, fail, and almost pass out on the pad. j/k
