    Too bad it's not possible to build GPS into everything so all you'd have to do is look at a digital map of your house/office/whatever to see where something is. No scanning required.

    I had no problems validating this page via http://validator.w3.org/check. It reported 166 errors on this page.

    I e-mailed Google about it. They sent me a canned response that I should add a question mark to every link to disable the pre-fetching. Incredulous!

    And as a webmaster of some very popular sites I take steps to ensure that each visitor only gets one connection at a time to said websites regardless of what you've told your computer to do. It's things like this, plus WebAccelerator and other caching schemes that can slow an otherwise robust web server to a crawl.
