Sure for the states it might be becoming irrelevant, but over here in the UK, DRM is not a problem. Freeview/freesat has everything I'd ever want to watch, and by definition, it's free to use on whatever platform you wish!
I have a few TV cards in our home server, streaming to a silent little Apple TV running mythfrontend. It works a treat!
I know you can wash normal keyboards by just sticking it in the dishwasher or putting it under running water, but what's the best way to clean laptop keyboards?
I bought a phone off eBay about a month ago paid with PayPal. I got an email from the seller saying he had shipped the item, but I never received anything.
After a couple of weeks, I sent an email to the seller asking him what had happened, and he claimed that his PayPal account had been frozen and any email saying the item had been shipped had "been sent in error". He was no longer a member on eBay. This was quite obviously a scam.
I am currently using PayPal's insurance scheme, which is waiting for a response from the seller. It will be interesting to see if I get anything from this.
This seller is probably going to register again under a different name and keep on selling. What can eBay do if he registers again using different details?

The blocks were for real - I noticed one of the blocks standing up out of time. I doubt a computer would make that mistake!

Not really. FFADO supports loads (if not most?) of the professional firewire interfaces.
My Bass Pod XT Pro works out of the box with ALSA on Ubuntu Feisty.
I have just recorded and mixed a live album with this software on Ubuntu Feisty:

Very very good indeed, I vastly prefer it to my previous Windows based Cubase setup.
Very true! I've seen so many ridiculously expensive audio systems which just sound like crud in a boxy, resonant room.
The audio track on video can probably be used in a similar way. Fingerprinting still pictures can't be that difficult either.
Yes there is.
AFAIK, there was a Flash worm a few days ago which was caused by a Myspace XSS exploit.
Exactly! I stopped buying music from iTunes as soon as hymn stopped working with it.
No, RTFA.
Surely there are better things to spend this money on?
Surely this is the same thing?

Is this another planet X then?
Prepare for an Apple lawsuit...
I wonder if it can power my handy USB noodle strainer in space!
