  1. Who else read... on Experts Claim HIV Patients Made Non-Infectious · · Score: 1

patents? with so much copyright coverage stuff lately I had to reread the headline several times...

  2. ID v. Evolution...bleh on Texas Science Director Forced To Resign Over ID Statements · · Score: 1

So..I consider myself religious, and I believe the God created everything just like the bible says....However I don't know everything, I refuse to get into debates about it because science is not really my strong suit. I also believe evolution is wrong, and 50-100 years from now, someone will bring this up and laugh about it. Maybe not wrong per se, but flawed. The church needs to realize that it isn't always right about specifics. Evolution is our eras flat earth, or earth-centric universe. The church (most of it anyways) has excepted that the world is round and we circle the sun. Evolution or whatever it becomes as science and technology progresses, will become more of a law, and we will have that much more understanding. Then they will find something else to bitch about...cloning perhaps...

  3. Re:Warnings? Make WEP default option on California Passes Wi-Fi Guidance Law · · Score: 1

My inlaws have AT&T DSL and it included a 2Wire wireless gateway/modem...

I could not figure out what the WEP key was when I reformatted their machine. Finally got in and it had a nice diagram pointing me to the bottom of the router.

Is this the best idea in the world? No, but I think it is a start. I can still print to most printers in my neighborhood, so we have to start somewhere.

A sticker is just a dumb idea, and a waste of money.

  5. Re:Independent music recommendation services? on Music Recommendation Engines Compared · · Score: 3, Interesting

Well...a kickass podcast that a lot of people don't know about is 75 Minutes. Great Indie music that runs the gamut from Jazz to Experimental... May not be exactly what you are looking for, but its a great start...

  6. Re:http://www.righttovote.org/state.asp on Convicted Hacker Adrian Lamo Refuses to Give Blood · · Score: 1

His conviction was federal, and with the Fed, you never get your rights back...no guns, no voting, no public office, no jury duty...DNA and fingerprints on file for ever. You *may* get a presidential pardon after 10 years from your conviction date that restores your rights, but you are still technically a felon... Sorry about no links for this info...personal experience....

  7. Pink Beholder? on FORGET DRAGONS! TIME FOR PONIES!!!1! · · Score: 1

Did you guys see the pink beholder at the bottom of the article..?

Be careful though, it causes -3 Willpower and +5 Metrosexuality...

    You have been warned.

  9. I don't know about your guys.... on Google Launches Google Reader at Web 2.0 · · Score: 1

no...no overlord joke...but its working fine for me. I dumped my OPML file from Sharp Reader and imported it fine. It's a tad slow right now, but it comically enough pointed me to this article.

  10. Books, what are those? on The People Vs. Common Sense · · Score: 2, Interesting

"Have we made absolutely certain books and movies are not degrading the minds of our children and video games and all computerized representation of violent and sexual acts are the cause of an increase of depraved sociopaths?? Kids don't read books, hell adults don't read books. Also 2c on the whole thing about gov't raising our children...if parents aren't going to do it who will? Watch this video for a prime example.

  11. Beta Testing on Fiber Optics Bring the Sun Indoors · · Score: 1

How the heck would you beta test this. One would think that it would leave you office in shambles, and could it crash your whole office?
