Yea, I used to administer a Netware 5.x network about 10 years ago, which was interesting. There were many things, even back then, that Netware did better than MS does now. Other things that annoyed the hell out of me too.
We've been running out DC's as Core for a year now. It was a tricky setup/configure, and management also takes getting used to. However, it's not that bad. Just use your custom mmc for remote management, works great.
I have discussed the surveillance state we live in now with several people, and the one overriding factor that determines someones "ease" with accepting it is whether they have children or not. Those with kids almost always(actually always...) will accept any form of "safety" whether it's taking their shoes off at the airport, having all their electronic communications sniffed for anything suspicious or now, having drones with incredibly powerful cameras spy on them constantly. The argument invariably devolves into the "I want my kids safe, Dammit!" tack. Any amount of evidence pointing to how we are slowly but surely devolving into a 1984 style society is greeted by blank looks and animosity, almost as if I'm the bad guy because I don't agree with the "save the children via becoming a police state" direction we are on.
George Taylor: A planet where apes evolved from men? There's got to be an answer.
Dr. Zaius: Don't look for it, Taylor. You may not like what you find.
I always have to laugh at comments like this. You realize how ridiculous that sounds, right? No need to kick in doors or seize guns when they can freeze your bank accounts and turn off your power/heat. No need for anything dramatic. You'll come around... To quote Roger Waters: "Each man has his price Bob, and yours was pretty low".
What is interesting is how right you are, yet people can't avoid or stop using FB, even though they know it is wrong. Similar to the Walmart analogy of another poster here...(The High Cost of Low Prices?) Yes, FB is like a black hole of the web, sucking in all competing forms of interaction. On several occaisions I've been with people who were "dicking around" on their phones, ignoring what was actually going on around them, such as watching a moving, having dinner/lunch, etc; They say they are checking FB, and they get particularly peeved if anyone dares to mention how rude it is for them to be doing FB. The reality is, once implantable brain/computer interfaces become a commodity, sometime in the next 10-20 years, everyone will be on a constant FB "rush", internally. You will go into a restaurant, and no one will be talking...
A single six-year term for president would be better. No messing around, wasting time, money and energy in the last two years of the first term getting ready for re-election.
I hate Jackie Chan.
Less Filling! Tastes Great!
Seaworld
How I wish you were right...

It wouldn't even take missiles. An worldwide economic collapse, or Pandemic, would achieve the same thing.

Lamar Smith is a scumbag to say the least.
