Without knowing the true cost including construction and maintenance, it's not possible to decide whether the effort is worthwhile. Oh, and in order to be accurate about the benefits, you should also factor in the CO2 generated by all that fuel burned in the process.
Wouldn't it be funny if the CO2 produced in the process was more than it would harvest from the flue gasses? Well, we may as well start laughing.
Yes, you've certainly proven your point with all that hard evidence you've given us... I'm chuckling already!
Yes... Larry Ellison is the man who loves flying his private jet at San Jose at full throttle over San Jose in the middle of the night, and the $10,000 FAA fine be damned!

The only way for a firm to become truly effective is for individuals to focus on one task, and to do that one task extremely well.
Actually it's much closer to the bank-switching method used in the ancient (pre-286) EMS cards than the segment:offset method of x86 Real Mode.
From a program's standpoint, you have a flat, 32-bit address space, thus you're limited to 4GB. Through the magic of paging, the OS can map any 4K block of a program's address space to any 4K block of physical address lines. So while a single process is restricted to 4GB of address space, the overall system can access much more.
People have no "soul" anymore, they want fluff with no real substance, typical disposable society.
Ask a teenager to hum or whistle their favorite song... they can't do it because there is nothing but a catchy hook, it's empty. Same thing with games, they have tons of flash and glitz but no soul and it isn't getting any better.
"In my day, we had to walk fifty miles to school, uphill both ways, in the snow... and we liked it! It built character! Kids these days have no soul, I tell ya!"
if those of us who can't remember where we put everything need to "lighten the load" or "learn better organization skills," why do we even have computers to begin with? The whole point of having a computer is to let it do the mundane work so we can focus on the creative things.
this alone will be worth the upgrade:
Rather than having to remember the single folder where something is stored, users will be able to put documents in any number of virtual folders. They can also establish folders that will automatically update, such as "files edited in the last week" or "documents from Jane."
I've always hated the way files are stored on a computer... I understand it, of course, but I hate it. The whole point of a computer is to do the work FOR me, you know?
...about this very topic since the dawn of written language. Folks blamed television before the Interweb came along; radio and movies were at fault before that. I'm quite sure that the village elders complained about how that newfangled "paper" thing was ruining the language: "in my day we used STONE TABLETS! You care a lot more about spelling when you're chipping your words in stone, I'll tell you that! THE WORLD IS GOIN' TO HELL IN A HANDBASKET!"
That said, "should of" really bothers me. I can understand a minor misspelling, but using the wrong word? Come on, people, the word is should've.
I like how us "starbucks latte sipping, SUV driving fatties" get sneered at for being appalled at the worker's conditions... apparently we should be grateful they're not eating gruel and getting beaten with a stick if they underperform. Darn us evil Americans! Always thinking other people should have the same standard of living that we do!
Even on my high-end LCD I have a lot of problems with color matching, wheras my low end CRT does a fine job. On the other hand, I'd hate to go back to coding on it:)

The day this happens is the day I change careers.

I think I'm going to turn on the tub and let the water flow right into the drain for a few hours and think about how lucky I am.

It would be nice if they'd give the median salary instead, wouldn't it? I have a feeling that's a lot lower.
