Well you asked!
Sad to say though the orriginal revolution that the founding fathers used to spawn this nation faced much of that same opposition from the colonists themselves just trying to get them to take a stand against the crown. It took almost 7 years, a Tea party and a riot on soldiers that got messy plus an act of martial law on Boston by the crown to get enough of the colonists angry enough at england to get the revolution off the ground so to speak.

Sometimes it also takes much more than that just look at the French revolution and the things that lead to that. The french people had it bad for quite some time before the revolution people starving, dieing etc... But not till after the king emptied the french coffers to borrow money to the Colonial revolution leaving france with flour but no grain to make their bread which put them in an uproar because they now faced death with nothing to put in their stomachs only to be answered with "Then let them eat cake" that they finally revolted against the establishment.
Ironically if the American revolution hadn't happened or if the King of france hadn't lent the founding fathers the money the french people would have gotten the grain to make their bread and the french revolution more than likely wouldn't have happened either. >OK. If Oxygen makes up 45% of lunar soil by weight^h^h^h^h^h^hmass, then the silicon in the Si02 makes up 40% of the lunar soil by mass. So what makes up the other 15% of the soil?
The public may care about mars and the geeks (or rather nerds) may care about the moon but Business or rather big oil cares about Jupiter!
Why? Because Jupiter is the next big energy source! It's the middle east of 2150 etc... It's the second biggest source of hydrogen in the solar system which from all current views looks to be the new oil of the 21st century and beyond.
So while the moon may have hydrogen it's not in large enough supply to justify going back to the moon let alone on its own justify such high cost exploitation of it. Nor the mars despite its exo biologic possibilities for possibly proving or short term disproving other exo biologic or alien life beyond earth. But what would more that justify further space exploration is not the least of which being mining asteroids for resources but to use Jupiter as an intersolar Middle east or Intersolar Gas station for hydrogen to power post 21st century crafts of whatever make or use.
The moon and mars are mere transitory goals to space but Jupiter as a fuel source is a more long range and long lasting if not perminate goal for space till we come up with other future energy sources that fit our future needs better.
So while you geeks and nerds or the like argue that what we care about is either the moon or mars or other crap pieces of debris in the solar system the real ones who actually matter have already decided that what matters is the big boy Jupiter! All you're other ides or beliefs are just extra fuel to be used to get them to that point they may possibly introduce some other ways or methods of making huge gobs of money in the future so would be allowed to be entertained or believed to be our goal but not allowed to distract totally from the main goal or the real prize, Jupiter the tans-solar gas station/Power plant for mankind.
So my answer to you is they Or big business does realize that project's like this as well as others regarding mars which will be more or less larger distractions than the moon as a future launching off point or fuel transfer station or other like interim point for the hydrogen transfer form Jupiter and earth. However they do realize in the future it will be a means of further pushing us outward further into the solar system towards Jupiter and the like so when it gets to be more obtainable or more in line with their current goals without to much undue risk to getting to their main objective without excessive waste of funds and overall support then industry and big business will support it more, Till then expect no joy whatever you're arguments or other attempts or beliefs maybe as they don't meet with the industries current goals or projected timelines etc.
In other words your whole post and stand on the issue was a complete waste of your time and energy other than as a nice place for me to put this post stating these facts.
Remember Big business and the industry only care about one thing Money or how to make more of it. And so will always act in ways to bring about thoughs ends. In that light first the Moon as a launching off point and later transfer point between the earth and Jupiter is more crucial to the long term goals but mars is more of a interim rest stop or other such point, but also as a way and means of further pushing man outwards to the larger and more important goal of Jupiter. Not to forget IO and Eruopa and other moons of Jupiter which Nasa and others keep bringing up as possible places that life could reside and so as means of further pushing us to the main prize. It's really thinking of ways of not only finding life and habitats outside of earth and beyond mars but also as ways of getting us to help them or make it easy on them to reach the real prize for them which as I said is Jupiter not the moon or mars or any other planet in the solar system.
Uhm well really I think more enquiering minds want to know is this some attempted means of compensating americians for King George's dark desiere's to delve into our own private conversations to satify his own deep seated perversian's?
Or is he trying to buy back are layalties with his governmental powers?
Ok so being rather consiresicist but hey given the current administration can you blame me.
What treaty? This federation of your's doesn't exist yet! Theirfore any inventions up till that point would be null and void or otherwise grandfathered in and as such meaningless even dispite any possible agreements to the contrary.
I mean what are you going to do tell every eco terroist and bio terroist and exo terroist etc in the future to not use a tech just because it was discovered and hence prior art before any such deal with a future discovered race who claims their own unprovable prior art to stealth tech?
That would be like the US in the late 1940's telling the Soviets not to try inenting nuke's or to forgo any attempts to dcevelop radar or ICBM's or other such tech based on US's prior art or some post war treaty. Bottem line is the Soviet's didn't obey any treaties with the US nor did the US.
So what makes you think the United federation of planets would obey such a treaty? Gene Roddenberries candy apple vision of what he thinks in his arogant self imposed glass bubble of a vision of the ideal future would someday possibly be?
Ok so this is a far fetched vision of what you propose as a problem for future event's but could more than likely be more probable than you're scifi future conflict of a treaty with an as of yet none existant race as of yet known eneywhere in the universe.
At least as far as Seti and the reat of the US and international space community is concerned so i restate again.
What treaty?
Rethorical question the above pretty much answers what treaty for anyone not stuck physically in the scifi world of a non existant universe as Star trek.
Or rather Bar Wreck.
Tell the Romulans we'll flip their world and satilite of Romulus and Remus for it and then blow them to kindom come for the rights to Stealth Tech!
Let them Wretch that out amungst themselves while we smoke cubains over the ashes of their planet and moons in the interum.
Sure and while were looking through the telescope at them we see a telescope of their slide into view and discover their also looking at us!
Only their's is higher resolution and we find out their looking at us in our homes in the tub or on the John!
Intergalatic Perverts!
What more reason do you need to build a fleet and wipe them out!!!@!
Only problem is they'd see it and build one of their own to destroy it and then come here to subjugate us for their perverse pleasures.
Theirfore we must build it in secret on the far side where they can't see it and then launch the fleet on a orbital trajectory that they can't see it till it's to late and Bamm!
That'll teach though's pervs a leason or three.
Ok a bit drastic but can you think of a better way to unite all the races and religens of earth than to stop intergalatic pervs?:D
Because it's easier and better than searching for life in the dark!
Dead or alive it is or was life, When was the last time you saw a corpse of a bug in the dark?
Besides looking for a bug zapper is a better way of finding out theirs life out their than looking in the dark for life looking for light to zap itself on anyway.
If you ask me it's killing two bugs with one light to go about it this way.:D
Ok enough with the bug zapper enaligies i got more important things to do like goto that light over their..... So pretty and warmmmm........ZZZZtttt.
The Spartons who arguably may have been more democratic than the Atheneans had a rule for all their leaders that every 2 years for an ellected official had to stand in front of a court judge to answer for their actions and face and and all such punishment as may have been deemed appropriet for proven cases of endangering the nation or it's safety. Kings elected would rule for 4 years and at the end of such time would face the same judgements for their actions before a impartial ( or supposedly impartial) court and have to asnswer for their actions.
This resulted in the removale and exhile of at least one spartian king who ended up living in the land of persia under king Xersis during his invasion of Greece (who had asked the deposed king about the spartian warriors before the famous battle of Thermopylae about the warriors who responded that alone none of the warriors were worth any more than any other man but in any kind of group they were worth ten of any other men because of there group fighting abiltiies which it appears Xersis apreantly ingnored to his own detriment).
Sparta had more of a kind of government that we should have had (no i don't mean we should live a spartian lifestyle or spartian ideal or overall rule of law but it to me seams that they had a better way of handleing their leaders and government officials than we currently have.
Any and all leaders of our nation as well as ellected officials representing us should in all realistic form have to answer for their actions in a court of law not as has become the fasion for our nation the court of public oppinion which it seams cant deciced what it wants to do or how it wants to act in these cases which let people like Clinton who walked away from not only a moral violation (oral sex with of all things monica) but more over from standing up in a court of law and swearing on our most holy of books the bible and then lieing his Mother F*'ing Aski off. And from people like King George who litterally trample all over almost every law making up our nation.
In a spartian world Both Clinton and Bush ( and several other presidents) would have been exhiled or put to death or imprissioned for commiting such acts that are so clearly against the best interests of our nation.
Thoughs were taken away by King George via the Patriot act!
All we have left relisticly is the right to bend over and take it up the Aski.
Ok so supossedly we still have our constitution but how much does it really mean in the King George era when he can pretty much do anything and not suffer anything even though his apporval rating is in the toilet and he has violated well over a hundred laws and has yet to even hear the words impeachment cross his critics or opposistions lips let alone have to fend one off.
Honestly i'm beliving this guy could bring about the appocalypse (sounds likely he may already have) and nobody would stop him because nobody wants to really try. Or he has some mistical shield of invunerability from somewhere that keeps anybody from attempting such a thing.
I mean really where's the logic in this? Clinton who i didn't support and wanted to see taken down get's impeached for oral sex with an intern but King George can't get himself impeached to save his life even with he was (ok im being unrealistic here maybe) to kill one of our nations great patriots (if thier is any such thing nowdays) on the steps of the whitehouse in front of a full press not partial to him for no other reason then he wanted to have the pleasure of killing someone glorious other than himself.
God how many laws does this laughing excuse for a president have to violate before the nation finally says no more and yanks him out of theat ivory tower and puts him up before the full rath of the public for all the damage he has done to our nation and the ideals it was founded on?
Ok so i'm ranting and may have had a little to drink but i know what i mean and it's not personally directed at you. But somebody had to say it sometime that G.W.][ is like John Gotti before they finally took him down, He was like the bullet proof Don and that's bush right now in a nutshell.
Who's he got to kill to get impeached around here nowdays anyways?
Please this is just a mordern version of Bell pushing D/C power and pitting it against A/C power.
And it will meet with the same end for the same basic reasons.
To slow to late and to much $$ required to not only relize it but to impliment it for it to be practical against other already relized methods that have already left it in the dust.
And in the end will end up with power companies adopting the winning tech for their own uses if in fact they aren't already useing it, LOL already know the answer to that one, Just as Bell eventually ended up doing.
>Intel has proved it has what it takes to make good chips, look at the reviews of the upcoming Conroe chips. These chips are gonna be awesome and it only gets better from there.
Uhm not meaning to contradict you here but.
Yes Intel has proven that they can produce good chips but they have also proven more than once that they can produce bad chips. The 286 comes to mind (they were crippled by errors in the chips design which was fixed months after release by a subsequent release of the 386 which condemned thoughs who had purchased the inferior 286's to just deal with it, I was unusually lucky here I had bought my 286 just before the 386 release and was able to return my crappy 286sx for a 386 for just $150 more in price so I thanked my lucky stars and moved on) as does the Pentium I 60mhz(Pentium 66's that couldn't handle the 66 MHz speeds because of errors again in the chips design but Intel pushed them out the door anyway as lower speed 60mhz models later fixing the problems with the release of the Pentium pro's).
Their are several other examples but thoughs spring to mind as does the early P4 models, whichwas probably more likely by design Intel opting for the hope (rightly so at first) that by using longer pipelines the public at the time would be swayed by the higher MHz speed of the chips.Even though they repeatably were shown to perform lower than comparable AMD athlons in all but SSE operations (an Intel design which up till the 64 bit debacle was one of Intel's ace's in the hole). Even though MHz for MHz the early P4's and some later versions were faster in MHz they couldn't hold their own against the comparable athlons in performance except for in the affore mentioned SSE operations but most people didn't care to follow that choosing instead to look at the MHz of the chips as a bar of which was better.
That has changed more recently with even Intel moving away from using MHz to show better chip performance now with more recent P4's and P3 x86 core duo's opting instead to go by model numbers over MHz. This may prove a factor in their upcoming Conroe chips providing they can pull it off in a timely manor without mistakes in the design.
Also let's not forget that Intel had to essentially push aside it's 64 bit chip it had been working on that they were originally expecting wouldn't be needed (that the public would neither need nor want) till 2010 but they finally realized late in the game that 64 bit was making it's big push much sooner than they expected (more of a failure of insight or seeing market trends than chip design but it does still factor in to this). The realization however came to late for their mainstream (no I don't mean the itanium which was meant for server systems and could only handle 32 bit through dog slow emulation modes) cup's for desktop machines which was to late to have support for either Microsoft's XP64 or Longhorn A.K.A. Vista which were past code changes to include Intel's 64 bit extensions at that point.
So Intel had to go beg AMD for it's 64 bit extensions and surrender SSE3 code to get (along with whatever else AMD was able to squeeze out from the deal) so that they could produce their x64 capable P4 chips to compete (some might say that AMD should have left Intel out to dry on this but I tend to think it was the right choice for even if AMD had prevailed it would have reflected badly on them for having been overly selfish with their code among other reasons.
Though others might disagree with that but I would rather see competition win out over pure market greed, it also shows that AMD can be just as fair if not more so than Intel if the shoe was on the other foot).
So yeah you're right Intel has proven it can produce good chips but it has proven just about as often that it can produce bad chips as well and both flavors have been hyped up just as much as the upcoming Conroe chips have been which for my money says
True but i priced my own useing parts mostly from newegg AMD spec and added in the Dell 20.1 In LCD on sale $440 And still came out around that price
While Apples bootcamp in Leopard may sound like a nice draw i prefer the system i spec'ed out as it's upgradable and the Apple mac's aren't really.
Thoughs are just ways of gett
Uhm well really I think more enquiering minds want to know is this some attempted means of compensating americians for King George's dark desiere's to delve into our own private conversations to satify his own deep seated perversian's?
Or is he trying to buy back are layalties with his governmental powers?
Ok so being rather consiresicist but hey given the current administration can you blame me.
Uh Uhm ahhh....
.....
:D
Pillidelipha
Er
Phyidilipha
Erhm eh
Spillidiliphipha
I..Uhm
Sacaraphiliphum
Well actually
No i can't say Philadelphia
How about Just Experiment?
Will that do?
Hey you peeked! :D
Uhm..... Yes! Unaeqivieably Yes!. :D
:D
Only their's is higher resolution and we find out their looking at us in our homes in the tub or on the John!
Intergalatic Perverts!
What more reason do you need to build a fleet and wipe them out!!!@!
Only problem is they'd see it and build one of their own to destroy it and then come here to subjugate us for their perverse pleasures.
Theirfore we must build it in secret on the far side where they can't see it and then launch the fleet on a orbital trajectory that they can't see it till it's to late and Bamm!
That'll teach though's pervs a leason or three.
Ok a bit drastic but can you think of a better way to unite all the races and religens of earth than to stop intergalatic pervs?
Because it's easier and better than searching for life in the dark!
:D
Dead or alive it is or was life, When was the last time you saw a corpse of a bug in the dark?
Besides looking for a bug zapper is a better way of finding out theirs life out their than looking in the dark for life looking for light to zap itself on anyway.
If you ask me it's killing two bugs with one light to go about it this way.
Ok enough with the bug zapper enaligies i got more important things to do like goto that light over their..... So pretty and warmmmm........ZZZZtttt.
Haha LOL
That's a two pointer!
If that's the case they need only look around our own planet!
Their's plenty of unintelligent life around here as it is without
them trying to find more on other planets.
Addendum
What in-alienable rights?
Nothing to see here move along.
At least i'd hate to try opening up and changing out parts of thoughs macs the will be out of date within a year probably less. That's a major conern to any gamer can i upgrade it without having to rebuy the PC?
To each his own i guess.
