I think you're dead on, mostly. I think it left you thinking about two distinct possibilities. Godfather 3, his daughter dies, all James Cagney "top of the world" movies, the hero dies. I was thinking both the entire time I was watching it. I think though that the real thing they left you with was the paranoia, like you said. He's not going to die, but he's going to live the rest of his life thinking that he could. And so will his family.

They knocked Phil off to close that chapter specifically so that everyone wouldn't automatically think he was going to get shot.

Currently, I've been getting all the Sopranos episodes by mail, and I go to the store to rent the "new releases" that I want to see. I haven't even tried to rent a new release by mail in a long time, not because it's difficult, but because there's no reason to.

I get stuff by mail that I might want to keep for a while, such as TV episodes, and I get movies that I'm going to watch that night at the store. It's a perfect setup.

Same price as Netflix, why not get something else for free, all other things being equal.

Many companies, my employer included, have record retention policies which dictate the length of time to keep different types of documents. This aids in preventing potential lawsuits and helps to control the locations of all documents.

If Google is stashing documents without informing the user what is stored, and without telling that it's sending or storing it at all, this could prove incredibly damaging to all parties involved, and to the company especially.

Ah, but this search engine has taken those sporadic single purpose networks, and made them available to the masses.

If anything, this search engine will create a BitTorrent network, or pseudo-community if you will.

There is already VirtualPC, if they release an update to that program, it should scream, so who needs dual boot. There will be virtually no emulation, simply sound card, vid card and some other random things, no more main processor emulation.

Exactly! All products evolve, just like guns have.

The original computers weren't used for playing games either, they were invented for doing scientific calculations.

I just typed "Tiger" into Google, and TigerDirect was the third result, only after two results that were for "5 Tigers: Tiger Information Center". In other words, nothing to do with Apple. Apple was the 5th result. In other words, that argument is garbage.
