Well, this is what made the Good Times virus amusing, at least the version I saw. It warned of a virus that would spread to all your friends mailboxes, clogging up all the mail servers. You didn't even need to execute a program for this to happen. So, if you see an email with the title "Good Times" delete it immediately!
Of course, the title of the warning email was Good Times. Many naive people spread the warning between each other, and infact the warning WAS the virus. It propogated not through a software exploit but via the foolishness of the typical computer user, who would themselves transmit the "virus".
I'm wondering, how does this system deal with people with different eye spacings? I would guess that your distance from the monitor must make a difference too. I hope the spacing between the illumination lines is adjustable.
Is there a way to connect computers together using Serial ATA (SATA) Like with firewire and SCSI? Then you'd have Serial ATA Networking. That acronym has a nice ring to it.
Why do we need wireless to our homes? Why waste the bandwidth?
We need fiberoptic to our homes, and small wireless lans (ie Airport) within them. Save the long range wireless for PDAs, laptops, and other needs outside the home.
This happens too often./. should mirror every article that they link to, at least all of the small, personal sites that will not stand up to the/. level of traffic. Bah
DaveO:Hi, I just nmapped my DC and saw several open ports! I could even telnet into it and get a login prompt! What are you trying to pull?
Sega:Ummm, sorry sir, I don't know about any maps or netting.... The extra ports on your computer are for possible expansion in the future, to allow for new featu-
DaveO:What are you talking about?!? This is an invasion of my and every American's privacy! You people make me sick!
Sega:I'm sorry you feel this way. Honestly, there have been additional connectors on SEGAs console systems for years, allowing for future upgradability, such as more controllers, external storage, etc. I don't really see how this affects your privacy. You could always return the system if you can't live with this.
DaveO:This is ridiculous, I can't believe you thing you are going to get away with this you ^##%@#%$@

Pretty clever and fairly amusing at the time.

This is a valid point.
Having to command real people would at least rule out the Zap Brannigan strategy(sending wave after wave of your men in to be slaughtered).
I still think that there would be some problems with people who are out to ruin the fun for everyone (see Quake1.)
I could be mistaken, but it sounds like a different type of technology to me.
whatever works, i want a 3D IMAX equivalent experience on my computer, dammit!

I posted this as a reply above, but people keep asking.

They give a brief mention of how it works under a few of the articles in the news section. Here's one:

It just doesn't make sense in the long run.
