look up the Tammany Hall and all the stuff that they would have to do to stay in power. they were extremely corrupt, but they got stuff done. and the people did benefit from all this compitition.
the nukes were a better option then the alternative - a outright invasion. if we are lucky, we might get away with a million death just on the american side.
call me heartless, but killing a few thousand to save a few million is a justified action.
trying to learn chemistry and/or engineering with out a lab is just like tryying to learn how to rig together a computer with out the computer.
you will know what everything does, and in theory how everything connects. but when you actually go and bulid the darn thing, you are staring at the pile of papaers going "oh crap"
well you are forgetting one thing - laptops are alot lighter then a stack of textbooks. and given the price for printing the textbooks, it may just be cheaper to rig all the books into a laptop's HD. also typed essays are alot easier to read (as is typed everything else)
exactly what is so wrong with calculators? when these children enter the work force they will have acress to calculators. what is nessary for them to learn is the concepts of math, not actually how to do it. and I can't think of a better way to make people less interested in math then to take away their calculators.

I think that if you are trying to simulate the universe we would not have to worry about lots of little stuff that we would have to worry about if we are talking about the weather or if we are talking about what I'm going to eat for lunch. the simulator only have to worry about gravity and fusion and supernovas. that is alot simpler then weather.
And the final answer to the universe probably will

well, we can always copy the DVDs from blockbuster - there is no way for them to tell if the guy who trys to play it next time is renting it from blockbuster or if he is getting a mass priated disk.
of course it wouldn't actually work - you can't ever find out if we are talking about blockbuster or some idiot pirating a movie. and of course we could always just play the movie and save the stuff on the screen to a DVD and then copy that DVD. in short, no way in hell this is going to work.
well evolutionary speaking, wanting to have sex with young girls that are past pubty is a good idea. it gives one a better chance of having children (15 year olds generally are more ferile then 50) and have a much better chance to last long enough to raise the kids, as well as lasting long enough to have tons and tons of kids. and as we all know, evolution likes any action that might produce children.
and we all know what programed our desires - evolution.
I suppose this could take out windows on price - linux is generally cheaper then windows. people may not like MS so much if there is cheaper linux boxes.
so what would you do if I point a M-16 at you and let loose a full burst? Lightsabers won't work too well against those. (remember P have to be conserved)

the thing is, it won't work. if the boycott actually hurt their sells, they will just blame the P2P networks and get even more dracoian rules on us.
so does that mean that microsoft bundling WMP with windows is okay if they open up the formats of WMA and WMV?

the same can be said of college grads, as well.

180mb? 180 milli-bit? as in 0.18 bit? wow, I want that program.
unless if you are the leader on both sides, then it becomes extremely easy.
I believe my pencil will fall when I drop it. to prove it, I dropped it.

I was under the impression that no one had to pay for MSN. and therefore they never bought the product.
which ones?
it's cheaper then buying a computer. and you usually get more power (i.e. the PS3 is going to be far cheaper then any other comparable computer)
which is why you rig a keyboard + mouse on to the PS/Xbox and install linux on it. with Wine, you can run almost everything.
maybe your port fowarding or your firewall is messed up. or maybe you just got a bad file.
you have to find and open the .torrent file.

So why in the world is there still a company named MS? they haven't made anything good for years and years. but still they are alive and kicking.
