I'm going to dare to say that serials are easier to get for the mac, really. I mean, if you look at sites like http://www.serialz.to/ that have a mac program with monthly patches it seems a whole lot easier. I don't even have to worry about serials anymore, I have a whole database of them sitting on my computer.
Barrack Obama (my neighbor) is really on the cutting edge with those sort of things, as far as politicians go. He also has a podcast available through iTunes.
Well, something to learn from this is that film never really had a unified feel ever. Film was sort of all over the place, after all the decades its been out, there was no real unified feel. Hopefully the DNG will pick up at a faster speed and at least the digital negative will be completely rock solid and compatible with everything unlike the mesh of raw formats now.
I think there will be a 10.5 that will address the core imaging problems in Aperture since they didn't address that much in the last Aperture update. That's my guess at least.
Some say the reason why the world went for VHS over beta was because the porn industry went VHS, even though beta was supposedly the better format. Something to keep in mind.
I appreciate even the more excrutiating British humour (get it?) unlike most Americans it seems. If this equation is true, then what the hell happened to the American version of the Office? I found it funny, but not as much as the original.
Whoops! My mistake. I was scanning in 35mm yesterday, and I got confused. Medium format at 3200 dpi take up about 250mb of non-interpolated data using a Imacon Flexscan. 4x5 film is outrageously large and takes forever to scan.
Industries and individuals have uses for these disks. The photo studio that I work at is starting to digitize a lot of their medium format film. Each frame takes about 120mb. Imagine thousands of photos from a variety of jobs. We could definitely use these discs. And I hope they come in cartridges, even if it is from Iomega.
It's a step in the wrong direction. The great minds behind all this new technology need to meet up AGAIN so these things can make it into the consumer's hands. I don't want 3 different optical drives in my tower. This could either start DVD doomsday or this technology could take the path of everthing else that Iomega has made; they tend to overcharge for media, which is ultimately their downfall.
Apparently my neighbors in the next block have a pretty serious TRO violation problem. =S But, I'm happy to see that there hasn't been any crime on my block of Chicago. Even though I've seen this site before, it's still cool, especially with satellite options.
I e-mailed her. Thanks for the info!
I told her that her argument has a real cause, but she shouldn't base her case on the fact that video games are not art.
Haha, abuse of subjectivity galore!
Even if it was brought up in court, the store owner could say that he felt it wasn't violent, and technically a judge couldn't overturn the opinion, right? Everyone wants to make a buck. Why would they turn away their target audience?
All this does is merely employ lots of homeless people. The kids will pay them 5 bucks so they will buy them a game. Some store policies prohibited the sale of violent games to minors before the law was passed anyway. This really doesn't change much here in Chicago.
I've only seen one tab catcher in Firefox, and it doesn't work so well. Opera's intention is to keep everything well maintained in one window, from IRC to browsing to downloads. I also enjoy the speed of Opera compared to Firefox.
The only issue I have with Opera is the customization options in specific features like IRC. I can't seem to find the preferences for IRC, like sounds and so forth. Other than that, I have no problem with Opera. Hell, I even like the CEO's wacky devotion to it.
The Chicago Public School is completely backwards, and I'm saying this from personal experience. It's ridiculous how much they allow and limit on their servers. As long as the admins like the computer team, they can do whatever the hell they want, including running personal game servers and bringing in their own equipment. Most of the computer team executed DoS attacks just for fun. I'm suprised that this made national news, personally. God, CPS is so backwards.

Ever had a friend get to your gmail account and search for the password? It's all over from there.

I love the fact that Chicago chose not to sue, even though I think they were on this site as well. Woot for Chicago.
I enjoy the fact that the battery meter probably drains the battery more because of the microprocessor. Don't bluetooth mice do this already?
I still think making computers a utility and not a luxury should come first. What good is broadband if you can't access a computer?
