I have no reason to invest in home photo-quality printing when I can go to the local CVS and print 8x10s for 25c a piece, and get them in only 10 minutes.
I hope this CCG doesn't suck hard like all the other Upper Deck "Collectible Card Games". Wizards of the Coast can at least come up with a good set of rules, albeit every one of their card games is just like MTG (even though Magic's not even like Magic any longer).
Someone needs to do CCGs right. There hasn't been a really good game idea or expansion for any game since Ice Age for MTG. LotR is decent, but it's still very very lacking, compared to what a CCG could be.
I believe he means to see how many connections there are that have the Firefox UA String. It will still be thrown off by dynamic IPs, but will be a much better representation of the user base.
Mod me flamebait, but do you have to make a headline on the front page whenever they hit a small milestone? Perhaps only posting when they've hit things like 50,000,000, 75,000,000, 100,000,000 etc., would allow for more timely news?
We all know that the counter is steadily increasing and that the user base is growing rapidly -- but must this much news space be devoted to one subject?
TFA is utter garbage and it's author is a complete idiot, but Microsoft does MANY things well for the common computer user and then some.
I don't agree with most of Microsoft's tactics, but they have thrived and created a market that allows the entire world to enjoy many aspects of a universe that would otherwise be much more difficult to enter.
The GP32, the massively successful underground gaming device from Korea, already has hunreds upon hundreds of public domain game engines (like King of Fighters and DOOM) with games using them, as well as many programs that play DivX, WMA, OGG, MP3, display images, and emulate different systems.
Currently SNES emulation for the 160+mHz-modded systems is full-speed without sound, and half-speed with sound (based off of snes9x). NES, Genesis and Master System emulatiors now run at FULL SPEED with sound and no frame skip. There are also emulators for other systems such as CPC, MAME, Atari, ColecoVision, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Commodore, MSX, PC-Engine, Spectrum, Vectrex, Wonderswan, and many more. Additionally, LucasArts SCUMMVM games, many linux games, and other linux programs can be made to run on the system.
This is all on the GP32. Just imagine what the GPX2 will do! Also, word on many sites is that the GPX2 will easily go for less than 100 pounds (not dollars; about $185USD). Furthermore, wi-fi dongles and keyboards have been available for the GP32 for some time.
With the way that the GP32 has unexpectedly blasted off in the underground open source and emulation scenes, the GPX2 is sure to be supported further by their makers in order to make it a strong competitor against other portable media players and gaming systems.
This is great work and an interesting project, but Enlightenment is quite slow on my 750mHz p3, even to the point where the mouse falls behind when eyecandy is going off. Kde nor Gnome have these problems, even with SuperKaramba or GDekslets running.
is what's needed. Any and all distributions that offer some kind of 'enterprise edition' or are otherwise backed and funded by money should merge with a smaller but equally as promising company. Not buy out the name, but hire the developers and integrate the product.
Consider the merger between Mandrake, Lycoris, and Connectiva. The new Mandriva 10.2 distro is an amazing improvement of things over before Mandrake merged, likely due to the collective knowhow of the three teams.
I wonder if this technology will ever be realized as a whole new way to distribute information.
It can potentially cut down on the cost of paper and ink, not to mention reduce the amount of trees being cut down for paper. I hope this idea gets heavily pursued by anyone who has the knowhow to further it.

Disgregard that. My mistake. I've never seen the source before.
See subject heading. Was it just to warn us?
bcrypt and ccrypt. They're all you need. Windows, Linux, whatever. Open-source and very good ciphers.

You could just put two or three of those 7gHz Pentum 4's on there without any cooling. That should warm everything up in a few hours.
We can finally have Quake 3 on linux!
Oh, wait...
Parent is the proper reply to TFA.

I'm getting one for sure -- are you?

You can keep playing as long as you don't get r00ked.
I don't even know where to start...

Thank you? :P
Welcome our new oversized-eared mouse overlords!
I think if the pixels were turned off there would be no image at all... I'm not sure how this could result in a 3D display.
