My brother who is a security consultant for a large company that makes routing and network equipment often tells me that there are many many many really good bad things out there. Many of which have not be discovered by others and they don't announce they have discovered them. They just add the security to the equipment and go on their way. Some they even leave active in controlled environments to watch what they are doing over the long term.

Wait so is google going to help the Movie Visual effects industry in the UK, Canada and the US? 11.5 million. REAALY thats probably less then the operating cost of ONE of the Private jets owned by the top 3 guys at google.
huh, Tim Cook has been in Charge how long? They will still be releasing Jobs stuff for AT LEAST a couple years if not 5+. Cook was hand picked for a reason and until he proves other wise you are talking out of your ass. sort of the same but that is Blue Screen. Green screen is not possible without signal processing. Blue screen is done because of the ability to create litho films that are nearly all blue sensitive. That can't really be done with Green sensitivity on Film.
The cg team and the story and director team are so far removed you can not blame one for the other. The story sucked and then they tried to do something CG wise that wasn't ready for prime time. Hell its still barely just getting to skin sorta looking real.
lol blade runner has so many Optical printing effects and glass plates that are all done in POST its not funny. Same with 2001. Same with Tron. Tron is hours and months and months of people with 11x14 lithographs hand bleaching mattes and then more months in the dark room with optical printers.
without the optical printers used since nearly the advent of motion pictures to do optical printing effects that have been used forever. ALLA original star trek transporter was an optical printing of the transporter beams printed over the cross desolve of 2 plates. I would bet I can show you films that are done with CG mixed with minatures and you can't tell the difference. The SMART THING to use CG when its the right thing and practical (real world) The best movies know when to use what and when to mix them together. The big problem is most people don't even know when a creature is a mix of robotics and CG. Have a look at what companies likes Stan winston now called "Legend" does. amazing mixes of cg and robotics.
You are so right. Homer's works didn't help solve anything. Hieroglyphics didn't help use out at all. Cave paintings that where used to record historical events did nothing to help ups understand. Yup writing and graphical representations have done nothing to help the present understand the past what so ever.
