hummmm Eudora supports Imap.. he could jsut use that to connect to exchange and then move his messges into the imap storage via Eudora and then open up outlook.. not that hard.. (i assume you have exchange sence he is wanting to move to outlook)
there is a diffrence between spam and ham.. if they give people a way to opt out and acutaly remove people that request it then the would not be in jail as that is what is required by law.. if they try to mask them selves and hide who they are and not give people the ability to opt out then they are breaking the law.. and knowingly doing it too..
Thank You AC - i have never understood why others don't get that - and while i normaly don't mod AC posts if i had had mod points today i would have +1 Under rated - people need to think abou this..
and if they do have deticated memory on board for video.. it is a small amount.. between 1-4mb normaly...
most i have everseen was the dell c400 latop which has 64mb of onboard (non shared) video memory... now if only it had had a better video chipset than the cheep intel one..
the greate thing about go is the game ends when both players pass on their moves in order.. there is no "end" to the game.. if both players feel they can not gain any more area of the board then it is over...
also jsut to note all existing AI for go is almost a joke.. sure it might beat you a few times but you will quickly pick up it's errors and be able to beat it...
i use IIS6 and have no issues.. and i doubt anyone would if they configure it correctly and acutaly know what they are doing.
the only complaint i have at all with IIS6 is that rapid fail protection is on by default and that each site created uses the default app pool unless you change it..
what does this mean..
take a shared hosting provider.. that updats to IIS6 and doesnt' know about it.. they have a box.. create 20-30 sites on it move peoples stuff over and in a few min none of them work.. because some lame person on one of the sites causes server 500 errors.. i think defautl is 5 in 5min.. and it shuts down the app pool that it occured in.. which is the default pool wich all the sites are in.. it doesn't say anything.. it doesn't note it (even in the event log) it just turns off the app pool..
it is sad when you have to call a client's hosting provider (and a big name one at that) and explain to them how IIS6 works vs IIS5 after they have moved to it.......
twist the cable.. and twist it with others.. you can notice interference. a good cable will not have this as it is well sheilded also the rate of twist can make a diffrence the the interference that cable creates.. also the ends of the wire.. the sharp edges of the cliped wire can cause reflection - sound familure.. yes it applies to speaker cables too
the it is either connected or not argument is great for digital signals - but what goes from the amp to the speaker is analogue - and yes you can tell the difference between good and cheap cables..
while i can tell the diffrence between cheap ass cable and nice cable.. the diffrences between the nice cables is unnoticable. the only time i was able to tell the diffrence between "nice" cables is one shop i was at where the guy (who has a phd in speaker design) had made special silver cables.. and no.. the diffrence was not worth the cost
we do about 100k a month in charges - but considering the smallest charge normaly is >500$ this might be why we are on a straight % instead of all the annoying little fees...
or like alot of shops (where i am) we just pay 2.9% of the total transactions..;. 2.9% of 0 is still 0.. so it wouldn't cost us anything.. although i am sure that if we did a million of them visa might give is a nasty gram...
Sounds like putting cameras in the forest looking for trees. if you where talking about an AD domain.. that might be a good thing.. cause nothing else watchs them...
while i have heard horror stories.. who hasn't in a field.. i do know several people that work for UPS and some for FedEx.. and other than the long hours (and no AC for UPS workers) they are happy..
considering i already work more than they do.. the long hours there wouldn't bother me.. and considering i installed a ceiling fan in my office cause i don't get AC in my office.. i don't think that would bother me either...
honestly if i was to get a new job.. Fedex or UPS.... the UPS guy that pick up our stuff gets paid on average 1.6 times what i make a year.. because he gets paid over time.. and to be honest.. he works less than i do..
i find it funny.. you say this.. cause the current IT job i have now.. when they called and offered it i was on my way to get my CDL to be a bus driver - which at the time paid about the same..
i would rather work in IT then drive a bus - although having a CDL would have been cool...
yet.. sadly i was jsut looking up the jumper settings to set the fsb to 133 on this 1u box cause they where lazy and didn't print them on the board....
some people really don't need nor care about he latest and greatest.. what we have is fast enough for what we need...
Just like you can not run Fedora 6 in a GUI on a computer with 64mb of ram and 800mhz. Maybe Fedora should optimize their code? if that is true then yes..
i wonder if the vending machines will start excepting them now.. always annoying when you think you have enough change and one of the damn things slips in........

yes they should serve time..

the c400 i am typeing on has 64mb of deticated video memory on board.. so .. yea it might be that there are diffrent models of this laptop..

thats fine.. TFA doesn't have any details..

as easy as it is to creat a birds nest with line on earth.. god in zero or micro gravity.. it would be a royal pain

i want optimization - not a space heater

but what do you call it when we know ther are ones we don't know we don't know?
my first was Caldera - i later found the wonder of slackware.... and still use slack
