Antimatter purports to solve the alleged energy shortage. However, what is the solution to lack of breathable air, drinkable water, etc.?

    For breatheable air? Trees
For potable water? stop polluting the dang water.

The earth has existed for millions of years, and in that time it could have easily sustained as many life forms as are on it now... Provided they didn't pollute like we do now.

ok, I work in tech support, and as much as windows is the devil, I must say: GOD XP IS NICE!!!

I just spent 3.5 hours troubleshooting a 98 machine when I reinstalled the first time it blue-screened then wouldn't install any of the net cabs.

When I reinstalled after that it gave me Windows Protection Faults on every restart.

    K, I'm done venting now

  7. Won't somebody think of the childeren!?! on BSA Reacts to 'New' BitTorrent · · Score: 1

Well here's how I look at it. I do download music from time to time, I don't keep large repositories of music on my system. And if I download some songs of an album and enjoy more that one of them, I'll usually go out and buy the album, if only to support the artists.

Personally I wouldn't want to come in to work one day and have my boss tell me, "Sorry Scott, we can't pay you for your work today. Somebody up and stole our sales department, so we can't sell anything today, and won't make any money"

Not that this would technically be possible, but that's what musicians and the like often face.

Now having said that, I'm all for P2P networks, especially for up-and-coming musicians, it's a forum for them to try and get their music out there, in an age radio-stations that won't play anything that isn't from a major label. Many of them couldn't give a rat's ass about the money they 'could' be making, they're just happy to share their art. And sometimes down the road, someone will remember having heard a certain artist somewhere, and sign him to a big label.

Hopefully some sence will come from this inane babble of mine, I just finished a test in my training program, so my brain is broken...

Well, here goes; From my limited political knowledge(I don't really follow my own canadian politics very closely, but the ware in Iraq, ect can't really be avoided in the news) But the way the US is spending more and more money trying to police the world, it's only a matter of time before they run out. At which point all those people pissed off by being 'policed' will start causing problems. This is when China will be sitting and chuckeling, and breaking out the champagne.

Besides, I don't really think the Chinese gov would have much to worry about in a war-time scenario: the ratio of Chinese to Americans is about 4.5:1 But what do I know? china population US population

  12. Re:Me no Under stand on Dell to Get Into Cell Phones in 2006 · · Score: 1

Not that I heard this from a reliable source or anything. But Dell is supposedly pulling a lot of it's software support out of the middle east(now that it's name has been battered and dragged through the mud). Much of it is going to out-sourced companies in North America (Like SiTel, right here in Ottawa, Ontario) and becoming a subscription-based service with people who speak english (of all things).
