You misunderstand. Slashdot is not a site about stories and/or links. It is about the comments and only about the comments. Nobody gives a sh*t about the articles themselves. Mess with the comments, then you mess with the user-base.
Dear poster, as you might have noticed: the readers are already "keeping it coming". Perhaps the readers haven't thoroughly communicated it enough: "Fuck Beta".
Problem with that business case is however, that there is no userbase that wants to 'consume' (RTFA) these stories. So they drive away the existing userbase with nothing to replace them with.
Apparently you don't understand what an AC is, if you think it is a single person. And if he had posted his comment under an account, would that really had made any difference?
Isn't the whole point of creating software, so that it will be used ?
If the users contribute back, that's nice, but it's still an extra.
Of course, companies incorporating software into their products without adhering to the licenses is a whole other discussion, but I don't think that is what is being referred to as a 'Freeloader' here.
I know when you and I use it, but i have no hopes of designers nowadays having even an inkling of an clue of what Lynx is.
Indeed, where can we find the new /. ?
You are only allowed to voice your opinion in the appropriate channels so it can conveniently be redirected to /dev/null.
Also: Fuck Beta.
Apparently they are. Then in plain english: Fuck Beta.
Like the posts from ACs as yourself.
Interesting how 90& of all FB-haters are ACs ....
Yes, We are. However, strangely all posts regarding Fuck Beta are modded down...
Interesting how suddenly all Fuck Beta posts are modded away. PS. Fuck Beta.
Seeing the message they posted: NO.
Mod parent up.
Not the first time a marketing department took over a company (and ran it into the ground).
You expect these designers to now Lynx or lInks ?
+5 funny.

My god... slashdotted. I didn't know sites could still do that!
That is what Slashdot is all about.
So the consumers are responsible for the failure of a product? That's a fresh idea...
Wish I had mod points ...
Exuse me, but the proper pronounciation is 'Fuck Beta'.
Problem with that business case is however, that there is no userbase that wants to 'consume' (RTFA) these stories. So they drive away the existing userbase with nothing to replace them with.
Perhaps it is the only way to make the designers realize the big fvck vp they are making?

So their cloud went up in smoke.
