    Rememeber that the percentage of Co2 on martian atmosphere is >90%, if that is any indication as to how much we've spoiled our planet, the martians have screwed their planet up BIG TIME.

    Bit torrent offers an alternative download stratergies for sites that cant cope with huge download requirements. This kind of attack means they can be targetted. Is this a complaint that will convince you?

    Parent is right, google helps me find the book and then I'll go buy it. This, to me, looks like is beneficial to the autors. That said, the benefits google gives the authors does not unburden it of copyright infringement. Google would still be doing a infringment if the books are copyrighted!

    Agreed that GPL may not have been the most important ingredient in linux's success. But can you imagine how many people would take away your code and claim as their own, sell it and not give back to the commnuity had it not been for the copyleft "GPL"?

    Most buisnesses have already bought Windows 2000, the cost of maintiaing it is equivalent to the cost of maintaining windows xp, so why would buisnesses upgrade to windows XP at an extra cost? We use Windows 2000 at our office and we dont think that upgrading to windows XP will increase our productivity.
    The initial model of growth probably was that as buisnesses purchase and add NEW hardware, they will obivously prefer latest software. Now that PC penertration has into businesses has almost saturated, this model will no longer mean profitable buisness for microsoft.

    How are we supposed to make money if we cannot protect our inventions/innovations? Years of our hardwork that results in an IP can be stolen by anyone.

    Do we have an answer to that?
