They already know they can't walk. That's why they discover they still can't walk.
They've been informed that this system will allow them to walk for a little while. They get a glimpse of movement and life and then it's taken away when the computer is turned off. All I was saying was that, if it's possible to utilize thought waves to control outside systems, shouldn't those systems be ones that are useful to them in real life?
This is going to be good for some people, but what happens when these people take of the electrodes and discover they still can't walk. I would think it would make them worse.
However, this is a step in the right direction. If we can read and interpret instructions through EEG good enough to control an avatar, how far away can we be from using these same thoughts to control robotic limbs?
At my high school a friend of mine was expelled his sophomore year for posting "hurtful" comments about a teacher on his blog. They expelled him based on precedent, or so said the school board. So apparently it has happened before. I hope this ruling will lead to some changes in other places.
I read the article and all I got was that she wanted to stop the use of RFID. If she is a Christian wouldn't she approve of this as it is the will of God that his son return? Wouldn't it be a good idea to let the end come?
Rather than look at evolution from start to now, lets look at in reverse....
Humans came from apes...
Apes came from fish...
Fish came from bacteria...
where'd the bacteria come from, where'd the stuff baceria came from come from, the list goes on and on. Yes things may have evolved, but they had to have something to evolve from. If someone can prove to me that mass can be made of nothing without help from an outside source, I will believe evolution. Until then I side with intellegent design.
Dad will be so proud.
