Baybuy1: if not real how would i know names of all those games??
Baybuy1: no scanner or dig camera :-(
    ME: why are you selling?
Baybuy1: just want to need money

So what do we learn from this? Apparently there aren't any sites with lists of tons of old games out there. And he really wants to need money???

I suggested going to kinko's to use a scanner, he said he wouldn't be able to before it ended... 4 days, no kinko's hmmmm

Does anyone believe you can ship a bug free product? These are bugs, they aren't in-your-face non-standards-compliant decisions by Netscape to say fuck you to the w3c. This isn't a matter of Netscape saying we value shopping over standards. This is a product with bugs, like all other products of this size.

I think it is safe to say that the Mozilla organizationis making a serious effort to be standards compliant and to support as many of the standards as they can. Is it easy, no. Will it be perfect, not yet. I don't think, however, that some open bugs herald the downfall of Mozilla.

Wait till 6.1 or Mozilla 1.0 or whatever and watch it improve. It is still far more compliant than IE - and will remain so.

Mozilla is definatly a good thing even if you think it's too slow. AOL is funding this massivly large open source project and in the course paying for the development of tools (BugZilla, TinderBox, lxr, bonsai) that can benefit all OSS.

For a long time I felt AOL was the evil empire, but they really have raised themselves a few notches in my book.

are test preparation services like Kaplan and the like. I don't think it is wring to study for the SAT or GRE or LSAT, however I know from personal experience that these services don't care at all about what the client knows. Their whole thing is bringing up the score so that person can get into med school or law school. In addition, people who don't want to or can't afford to take the class are faced with an artificially inflated median. (I didn't take test prep for the LSAT because I figured I wouldn't want to go to law school if I wasn't able to command logic)

I don't know about you, but it doesn't make me happy to know that my doctors may have gotten into med school based on their ability to take a test prep course rather than their normal abilities. (yes I know that standardized tests aren't true measurements of knowledge etc. but it is the way it is).

To me, that is a lot worse than using lecture notes. I bet more people could honestly say they use lecture notes in addition to class or to find out about a class than people who could honestly say they use Napster only for non-copyrighted works and isn't "fair use" what it is all about?

After all students are paying for those lectures in the first place.

I have spent time trying to talk about the great things you can do with XUL with people and all they talk abotu is how we don;t need another languages to skin with, newsflash, XUL is much much much more than a skinning language.

I guarantee that in the coming weeks and months, you will begin to see more and more mozilla based applications come out. I would say that a good portion of what can be done on the desktop can be done in mozilla.

That said, any project that forces people to recognize that what we have here trancends the realm of browser is "a good thing."
