One problem with that. All your companies are investing in China. That's why things are cheaper now. Bring them back to America and prices rise. People complain. etc..etc.

Not to mention your banking it based off of the assumption that China still needs the US. With India on the rise. Japan's interest in America lessening, etc..etc.. there may be a point where the US cutting off China won't do anything but hurt themselves as the world continues to trade with China.

I'm not sure China could be classified under communism in the first place. Since alot of countries have warped it from Marx's orginal view.. I've always thought of it as some other government that's oppresive.

Honestly I have to agree. People keep saying you can use a mouse and keyboard with it yet keep arguing it's great portable to play everywhere.

Are you seriously going carry around a mouse and keyboard (even if small) along with UMD games and memory sticks with you?

Heh, only in America can that happen. Yes I know you were joking. But chances are that's a possiblity with some of the lawsuits in America.

  5. Taxes on U.N. To Govern Internet? · · Score: 1

Well, I'm assuming everyone else here feels the same way I do about taxes. We hate them and most people said that it's a stupid idea to tax the internet. Even more so what would the money be going to? Helping people? That's great it'll wind up just like Social Security. Working in the beginning but screwed up and needs a huge revamp later on. I hate paying taxes to help other people. Ok, paying for education (fine since my kids can use that). Paying for roads (why not I use them as well). But paying to support other people? Why in the hell would I be forced to do that. I already donate some money to charity. Even worse I bet some of my money is going to some slacker who didn't bother at least trying in life. Yes, it has its benefits but a system that helps people will always be abused. Just let people take care of themselves and the foolish will die out soon.

The laws only protect you from the companies. (And even then they find ways to get around that). Do you really think the US's agencies or any intelligence agency in the world isn't at least scanning every bit of info for w/e reason? Whether it be possible terrorist acts, assasinations, etc..etc..

Though how long will we have free press? I remember a time (it probably still happens) that anyone that posted anything that could be taken as anti-american were labeled as terrorists (well not by the gov't but by blinded patriotic people). If people can pass laws under the name of security then how long before press censorship for security reasons occur?

I think America only manages to stay Democratic because of the constant switching of people with influence. Even the President stays for a max of 8 years.

  11. Re:This is SWEET... on PSP Emulation Madness · · Score: 1

the problem is the emulators only run on old versions of firmware. Games will require newer versions of firmware..so now it's basically

You either play the emulators or play the latest games.

Sony, which makes money from software sales prefers you to buy new games then play old games.

Not to mention if there was a way to prevent emulators and a company decided to conviently not do anything about it..well dunno if there are any laws regarding that. Though I imagine there will be in the future with all the copyright and piracy things flying around right now. So it might so happen that in the future that if you have a way to prevent people from doing illegal things with your hardware (let's say upgrading firmware) and you choose not to do it you may be able to get sued by certain companies.

Now of course this is assuming that the copyright and piracy stuff continues flying like this.

pray for an open source antivirus? lol. If it's integrated into the OS there better be a way to disable it. Microsoft better not make it like IE and WMP10 where it's integrated into XP after SP2.
