    Would Google complain if Microsoft informed users about Live Search when they typed Google.com into Internet Explorer's address bar? Don't roll your eyes: it would just be another innocuous tip presented to a user en route to a destination.

    IIRC lot of people shouted UNFAIR on top of their voice when microsoft made msn the default search engine on IE??? hypocrites.

    View->"Sort By"-> "Grouped by Sort"

    There are lot of options by which you can sort and then group.

    "You could then also do some standard groupings that a user could select, like 'Yesterday, this week, this month, last month', common strings in the subject lines, etc."

    Go into the inbox (or any other folder you have) window and press "g"

    I am not sure if someone already said this in this discussion. Lower ping times can be achieved if you abuse the implementation of TCP in your network stack. If your TCP implementation do not backoff upon congestion detection, you will starve other TCP flows but your latency will reduce.

    What is wrong with paper ballots?!!!??!? Canada seems to be able to handle paper balloting followed up with results within 24 hours, so what is the deal with all of the money and risk associated with trusting our politics to hackable solutions?

    So even if it takes 2 or 3 days for the results to come out.... Whats the big deal? No really tell me whats the big deal in waiting for couple of days... at least we'll be sure that the person elected is the same as the one people voted for.

    Performance of 2.33 GHz model with 1 and 2 GB of RAM is almost same. why does doubling of RAM is not increasing the performance?.. but it sure does increase the price

    I disagree. Microsoft research is one place where research is done just for the sake of it. Researcher there dont have deadlines to meet. They dont have the pressure of releasing products within some deadline. And they publish in world's best conferences and journals. I haven't seen many google researchers publishing papers in top-notch conferences or any conferences for that matter.

    man... we students pay more than 1000 $'s for a laptop by saving for months and then apple hand over us such piece of shit and not even achknowledge the problems (leave alone fix it). I am seriously disappointed by recent product releases by Apple. swelling batteries, yellow discolouring, mooing macbook, trackpad problem, heat issues ... and apple doesn't want to aknowledge even one issue. To HELL with them... i'll never buy an apple product again.

    I dont have anything against openoffice.. but comparing openoffice with Microsoft-office.. it still has looong way to go (you are free to disagree).. where as firefox beats Internet-Explorer quite easily.

    If they can manage to get an OC-192 out there running at a full 9.6gbps, then yes, it would take about 7 hours (25,000 seconds).

    And you think an OC-192 connectors on both sides of data transfers which requires direct connection using fiber-optic cables is an easy thing to set up between say Chile and US.
    OTOH, get over OC-192... OC-768 (40 Gbps) is already there though not in use outside of some very few research facilities.
