1st Place: "Life Doesn't Come From Non-Life"
Patricia Lewis (grade 8) did an experiment to see if life can evolve from non-life. Patricia placed all the non-living ingredients of life - carbon (a charcoal briquet), purified water, and assorted minerals (a multi-vitamin) - into a sealed glass jar. The jar was left undisturbed, being exposed only to sunlight, for three weeks. (Patricia also prayed to God not to do anything miraculous during the course of the experiment, so as not to disqualify the findings.) No life evolved. This shows that life cannot come from non-life through natural processes.
2nd Place: "Women Were Designed For Homemaking"
Jonathan Goode (grade 7) applied findings from many fields of science to support his conclusion that God designed women for homemaking: physics shows that women have a lower center of gravity than men, making them more suited to carrying groceries and laundry baskets; biology shows that women were designed to carry un-born babies in their wombs and to feed born babies milk, making them the natural choice for child rearing; social sciences show that the wages for women workers are lower than for normal workers, meaning that they are unable to work as well and thus earn equal pay; and exegetics shows that God created Eve as a companion for Adam, not as a co-worker.
So will wearing a hooded sweatshirt and jeans that have metal mesh woven into them then protect you from a microwave weapon (reflection)? If so, there is an opportunity to profit from a new line of clothing....
No, it is non-toxic
LD50 orally in rats: 5.66 g/kg
Sodium Chloride:
LD50 orally in rats: 3.75 ±0.43 g/kg
LD50 = lethal dose for 50 percent of a population in grams per kilogram of animal
Bottom line, less toxic than table salt.
Agreed, but it will probably not be available at our current consumption levels and further processing will be required....
The smartest use of oil would be as raw material, not as something that you burn in your car. A little bit more carbon neutral as well when you make a plastic from it, assuming you recycle it isn't that bad for the environment.
Corey pretty much is a self aggrandizing douchebag. Has had a couple suicides in his lab, doesn't feel bad about it. Claims to get 99% yields in some of his chemical reactions, after purification (next to impossible).
Has done some brilliant things despite that though.
Note to some readers...acrylate and butadiene reacted together to form a new chemical compound are not going to have the same properties as the starting materials. Most of our drugs/plastics use petroluem feed stock at some point in their production. It'll be lot's of fun when we run out of oil!
*innocent animals* boo hoo.....
The animal kingdom is not innocent. They don't call it the law of the jungle for nothing. Go play with an innocent grizzly bear / wolf / etc. if you don't belive me....
No moral framework in nature => no innocence or guilt.
That said, internet hunting is retarded. A good hunter always eats what he kills.
China is actively supplying weapons to the genocidal regime in Darfur. You are so wrong on this that it hurts.
Well at least we know what future presidents will be allowed to get away with if we don't impeach the current one.

Chinese Americans, exactly. Wonder what happens if you are Caucasian in general? I'm not holding my breath......
It's probably made of lead paint and GHB....
