Get Arrested Development in the iTunes store! I am sure George Michael can figure out how to rip episodes and upload them. He's a smart kid. Otherwise, Fox is going to cancel your show and you will be listening to "Christmas Time Is Here" all the time.
I am so sick of Fox being the network where great shows go to die.
But, no matter who you are, you have to admit that the ACLU prevents you from losing anything that might be considered a civil liberty.
No I don't. I have yet to see the ACLU put up a vigorous defense of the 2nd Amendment. Not only is the 2nd a civil liberty, it is a civil right. If the ACLU cared about the 2nd as much as they do the first, I wouldn't have to fear the armed criminal or have to fight for my right to self defense against state governments that usurp the federal constitution.
On a side note, anyone else notice that one of the petitioners is the grandchild of the Rosenbergs? Is this more about "getting" the current Administration or your civil rights? Should I trust someone with a committed political axe to grind to be the defender of my civil rights?
They also have charismatic CEO figures and strong anti-Microsoft streaks"
Yes, Apple has such an anti-Microsoft streak that they force a Microsoft employee to share the stage with Steve Jobs at his MacWorld keynotes so they experience the reality distortion field before demoing their latest version of Microsoft Office for Mac. To further show Apple's contempt for Microsoft, Jobs just released an iMac that will be able to boot Windows Vista.
I sleep 5 hours, in average, per day and I spend more that 15 hours in front of my laptop's monitor (a 17" TFT Widescreen), either programming or reading.
You are not getting enough sleep and if you are computing for 15 hours a day, you do have a problem. Like some things, you do it too much and you will go blind. 15 hours a day doing one thing is a great way to get a repetitive strain injury.
but it will be nice to make it all widely available to the general public.
That's an odd statement. Weren't all these software packages widely available to the general public before? I like Google and all but come on. I really don't see what the big deal is. You can download all these programs from Google? Whupty-fword. And it doesn't work with my Mac OS X box which makes sense because I don't need Ad-Aware and Norton Antivirus for safe surfing. Plus PDF viewing is built into the OS through Preview.
are being tossed right out the window. We're being conditioned to be silent sheep, fat for the slaughter on too much food and television.
No they are not. Please don't overreact. Free speech does not mean free speech without consequences. Sure you have the right to say whatever you want but don't act surprised when there are repercussions to that speech. Would you think it would be outrageous if a student ran around a University Quad screaming every racial epithet known to civil society and a Dean kicked them right out of school?
If I only had the chance to scratch disks with an XBOX 360! I can't find one for sale anywhere. All I can find are the games and accessories. I would pretty pissed if I owned a company that made the games and accessories because no one can use them them due to the lack of XBOX 360s for sale. Which sounds like if Gamefly is issuing a bulletin on scratched disks, its a big problem for them given the small population of users they have with 360s.
I don't know if Microsoft is trying to hype the 360 or they are having a huge manufacturing issue given the limited supply. From I read, they are only distributing a couple thousand per week. On a mass market item, that is a poor supply. They should be selling millions of them.
Maybe I will just wait for a PS3 as my old XBOX is still working fine.
Sarbanes and Oxley. I don't know you, you don't need that access, we have a process in place and I am not signing off on you. Follow the procedure or go somewhere else to work.
Monks have done an amazing job preserving important documents over the years. In fact, Xerox worked with Brother Dominic in the field of document preservation. Print out all the e-mails on archive quality paper and store them underground. Be sure they are also translated in Spanish so future Americans will be able to read them.
You can already boot XP on your Intel Mac.
Simple, when the market will bear it.
In our society, extremism is an equal opportunity disease that infects both sides of the bird.

Why isn't Apple a member of this coalition? They are a major OS provider on the Intel platform.

So can Perl.
Not really. I was discussing product name not technology.
Send $79 to Apple for iLife 6. $99 if you want the family pack.
This isn't the first "Duo" Apple has released in notebook form. The original PowerBook Duo was a very cool machine for its time.
That has to be lamest day of the year for Slashdot. It was funny in 1998. Its 2006, its no longer funny. Really, its no longer funny.
We know, we know. The one's you like, you post more than once!

Am I missing something here?

You know it man!
Is it safe?... Is it safe?
Of course, Goofy sucks.

Hello there under the bridge, the church has willfully destroyed many documents as well e.g; Archimedes Yet somehow you know about this. Interesting.
Good point. Change Control is an important part of in place processes for rights management.

Uh, I think Mars and the Earth have the same "warming" source, The Sun. That is, unless, you think bovine flatulence is heating the Earth.
