You need your huge defense budget more than ever. Who's gonna save you when your fiat currency will finally collapse and Chinese, who own you, will get very very upset? With bright ideas like national high speed rail, which is obviously gonna cost 3 times as much as Obama says, this will happen all too soon. And do you know which part is the most scary? Those ideas are *exactly* the same as the ones another national socialist had in his time - the WWII was started because German economy started to collapse after overspending of public money on huge national projects like this one, and Hitler was left with little choices. I also have a little food for thought for you: if people want national network of fast rails, they are also willing to pay for it, right? In which case, why the greedy capitalists didn't built it themselves already, so they can profit from the needy people? Maybe because there's actually no need for it, or it's not economical to run - which just gets us neatly to your fiat currency and the rest of it:P
Because the problem isn't systemic. I own iPhone 4, got the free condom and even used it for a few days, but then I gave it (the used condom, not the iPhone) to my friend and never had regrets. There is no such thing as iPhone 4 antenna issue, get over it.
As for the macbook, it does get a bit too hot when I put it on my lap in the bed... but then, you can at least put it in your lap in the bed without completely screwing the airflow like with my Dell. In any case when I'm in bed with my MBP I just use smcFanWhatsItsName to boost the fans and it sure will get noisy, but after a while the heat is gone.
Couldn't agree more. And what it directly translates to is the resale value of said products for the early adopters. Remember the pice which used iPhone 1.0 was able to fetch after a year from its release? Hell, there are still people willing to pay decent money for it now. I can't see those 5 tablets from TFA going for anything near it, percentage-wise.
You may be right saying that those companies turned a profit - but the customers were screwed. Or rather, made a bad decision, IMNSHO. How many of those 5 tablets will get an OS upgrade to 3.0? My bet is on 20% but I may have to eat that when it doubles to 40%:P How many will get a supported upgrade to 4.0 in just over a year from now? None.
If you have seen a 40mph speed limit at 3am when the road was virtually empty and imagined what's gonna happen there 4h later, you would be less sarcastic. If you have seen a 40mph speed limit and a warning about an accident, and after passing the place seen no sign of any accident whatsoever, you'd be less sarcastic. If you have seen the official statistics claiming 1.5% increase of throughput within the peak period and no mention whatsoever about the off peak period, you'd be less sarcastic. If you actually had any experience whatsoever with M25, and the absolute failure which is the system causing the jams there, you'd be less sarcastic.
What you seem to be missing, if I may, is the fact that it is *far* easier and convenient for anyone to follow the crowd of AGW, so the Occams razor cut you in a nasty place, I'm afraid.
if the climate changes in ways that damage agricultural yields.
There's no evidence whatsoever that the climate is changing in a way that would damage our yields on a global scale. There's a lot of quite convincing evidence on the contrary, feel free to google for biomass increase over the last couple decades.
Apart from evidence, I urge everyone to use basic logic, for a start. CO2 + heat = greenhouse. It's a fricking greenhouse effect, is it not? The crops grow best fricking where? What do you build to increase your yield from a square mile?:P
We don't know if oceans will rise. All we know is, they actually may decline because more heat = more evaporation -> which then may be trapped in Antarctica and/or vegetation. We don't know. We know that the biomass has significantly increased over the last couple decades.
Every farmer knows that it's in general better for the crops to be in warm climate than in cold climate. Every single fucking one of them. You are talking about GLOBAL changes, globally global warming is good for the crops, and for civilization.
The hotter it gets, the more evaporation will be, hence more rainfall. CO2 + water = cheap food. Google for biomass increase over the last couple decades.
Thanks for the voice of reason.
So they get sued by Hasbro (they own D&D these days) instead? They are not exactly the nicest guys when it comes to trademark trolling http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php/topic,1619.0.html
is that Steve Jobs fucking died purposedly as a marketing flick.
There isn't any other anyway.
That's democracy for you :)
If you had any idea, you would know that there's no change to this policy in 13", the previous model lacked a discrete GPU same way.
It wasn't a deal breaker when you bought your current 13" which has an integrated graphic as well. Go figure.
True, over they years I know of one major terrorist attack involving trains: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_Madrid_train_bombings Still, the idea is stupid.

Amazing. It's like the bloody Atlas Shrugged is coming true :P

Mod this +5 Funny! Quick!
Why wont they lobby the other way round, to reduce the tax burden for themselves so they can compete on a fair ground with the online retailers?
Yes please.

... 7. See the fuckers responsible for the M25 computer system shot in their heads.
This is another step on the way to the 'I, Robot'-style autopilot. Good.

Precisely. Melting glaciers is good, it releases trapped fresh water which is so much needed in many parts of the globe :P
