agreed microsoft cant be blamed much for people not applying security patches.
Yes they can develop an OS that is riddled with holes, and you wouldnt have to come up with so many freakin patches.
Or this one must be hard, how about an automated security update mechanism.
oh i know why they dont do that . cause youd have to reboot your server once a week to apply a patch.
This war hasbeen raging for years , its nothing new, it will be around untill one business or another closes. or something else comes along that blows them both away.
And in TFA he says who knows what tech the current 1rst graders will be using.
well when i was in 1rst grade i was using apple LC2's and now that ive graduated like 6 years ago from high school. im still using apples ( on my time anyways)
I work for an ISP , and i get customers bringing there machines, that are so infected with spyware , that the machine runs like crap. its dog slow and takes 7 minutes to boot completely. Then the tools it takes to fix them run slow. and i end up having to run adaware spybot , teh list goes on and on repeatedly , to clean it out , that takes care of about 98% of the spyware. then i have to spend an hour or two deleteing the rest manually, and i better get every piece of it cause if i dont it all ocmes rushing back. so yes if this guys gets off cleaning the machine in an hour hes fucking lucky.

What % of alchool solution ?
it depends on how they are on there but generally let the keys soak in 90% alchool for 15 minutes.
should do the trick.
When doing clkustering and super computer work. Cheap isnt always the best way to go , if you take into consideration that 5 - 10 % of nodes will either not be functioning correctly or will have some sort of hardware failure. The more you cluster the more man power it takes to repair these nodes. if you buy 1000 $499 colomachines , and 50 of them are failing at any given time, it becomes very time consuming and tedious to keep the cluster going. Spending the extra bucks on high quality hardware , will save you money and head ache in the end.
I always use the analogy when talking to older folks who want to get started in computers. spend the extra bucks to get a new machine. The extra money you spend on buying new good equipment , will more than pay for itself in comparison , to the amount of frustration you get from buying old used slow computers.
My $.2
If i really cared id say spend your time fixing the fucking gaping security holes, instead of poling the general public on whats wrong with there OS.
but since i dont care , eh who cares ?
I live in califonria and using megans laws databse found out that a convicted sex offender ( sodomy by force with a minor under 14 years of age) lives 1 block away from where my kid goes to school. Theres no signs saying sex offender lives here etc. its a crock.
Would you still agree if the person released is a two or three time convicted child molester, who happend to move in next door to you and your lovely daughter/son etc. I think these indivduals need to be tracked for life, and ive heard its starting to happen.
But if you take that $5 per month, multiply it by 12 months. Then multiply that by 10 years of downloading music ($1200), then multiply that by 100 kids, and now you have $120,000 missing. I'm not defending the RIAA in anyway. I think mark Cuban is a pretty ingenious entrepreneur, however I don't think you can relate these apples to those oranges so to speak.
I think apple realizes the intrinsic value of touch and feel. Being able to walk in to a store, where not only is the beautiful hardware on display for you to grope and fondle, but the entire store aesthetically is designed with the same thought process. You're getting a total immersion into the apple philosophy. Its one thing to oogle at pictures on a website, and it's another to play with them IRL, and apple knows it.
I Just dont think there is enough proper cooling for a drive that spins that fast. it has to raise the inside temp's by 5 - 10 degrees F, id bet. which might not make it unstable , but increased heat overtime can cause early hardware failure.
always on look off right now. /.'ed
thats an nintendo DS you insensitive clod
Me and my mac havent noticed.
you knew when i spelled definately that i meant definitely. so if a geeks typos on a slahdot post, does anyone really give a shit ?

Ever been to the caribean in the winter ? Its a nice 70 - 80 F , and yes my glass of tea condensates on christmas.
Must not go to very many websites then since you disabled port 80 traffic. no wonder you dont get spyware , your browser doesnt go anywhere.
